Our stay at this gorgeous hotel was amazing. We spend there 5 days and we really enjoyed their food, wines and great atmosphere. The staff was friendly and engaging. Our tower suite with 8 windows was incredible, also the roof top terrace view was just breathtaking. A lovely place, looking forward to visit it again.

This was actually the accommodation my wife and I chose for the first week of our honeymoon and we are delighted we picked Castello di Tornano. It is perched on a peak slightly lower than those which encompass it, but it still provides a pleasing view, especially on sunset. What really grabbed me was the real sense of nature one... More

I had been planning my #1 bucketlist trip to Italy with a couple of friends since the beginning of the year. After much research of "special" places to stay, we decided on Castello Di Tornano in Gaiole in Chianti, Tuscany. The website showed this beautiful castle and accomodations as the perfect place to stay in the Tuscany area, so I... More

As several reviewers have said this perfect miniature castle feels like it's all yours - don't know how as there were several other tables occupied in the jolly restaurant at breakfast and supper - but wandering around in the moonlight the only sound is the rustling of animals in the forest which leads up to the moat. The place feels... More

We had the most relaxing few days in Chianti and were overwhelmed by the breathtaking views surrounding the Castello. Our suite was gorgeous, with a huge four poster bed and lovely clean bathroom. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the wine tasting was particularly enjoyable. We hired a car and made the most of visiting the towns and... More

We were here for a mini-reunion of sorts (organized by a college friend of my husband's and his Italian wife), and found it completely enchanting. We actually stayed in "Mirto," which is an apartment in a house on the grounds and not in the castle itself, but were able to walk around inside the castle during the day and early... More

Our stay at Castello di Tornano was a quintessential Italian countryside visit. While the castle and the grounds were amazing, our private cooking class was a trip topper! We enjoyed learning how to make a traditional Chianti meal and dessert. The chef and asst. chef did an amazing job adding to the menu since everything wasn't a preference for my... More

We booked our stay here through Secret Escapes and got a fabulous deal for the room, air travel and car hire. It was a long weekend break for us Thursday until Monday. Needless to say on Monday we didn't want to leave. The hotel is two hours from Pisa airport and has an idyllic rural location in the Chianti Hills.... More
