This was the first of 4 hotels my wife and I stayed in during out honeymoon in Italy and France. Ultimo Mulino is a bit difficult to find, but once you do, it cannot be beat. The converted windmill is everything you want in a quaint Italian country inn. Everything about it is adorable, the staff is incredibly friendly, and... More

We had a great stay in the Hotel in October. We had read good reviews with the only exception being the poor mattress comfort and WiFi access. We can report that management have improved both areas and the mattress and WiFi were exceptional. The only downside was that we read on the website that the Hotel rented bicycles. It turn... More

The hotel tries to keep the traditional charming character of the building. The staff is polite and friendly. Rooms: First we had s noisy, but big room close to the kitchen and the breakfast room. After asking they offered us another nice room. It was small but quite. Perfect. Beds and bathrooms were clean, but a bit dust in the... More

We found the hotel - from asking the police in Gaiole - that this hotel was close to Radda. A converted mill. Small but nice rooms. Very helpful staff which you met everywhere. They even have a restaurant for dinner. Most people had their dinner here. Good italian food (nothing fancy) It is a good location for visiting the Chianti... More

We spent 13 nights here, using it as a base as we travelled around the Tuscan region. Room - 2nd floor, clean, fairly small, very Tuscan style and comfortable. Shower often leaks water over the bath due to the tight angle and the bathroom window could be improved with a blind/cover. Breakfast - small selection of average food, my husband... More

Beautiful setup, in the middle of nature, very nice historic building, good breakfast, nice small rooms with own terrace and access to garden Beds need replacement, disastrous shower (very low water pressure, unsteady temperature) Good value for money though, and a nice stay in a romantic place.

Dear Guests, thank you very much for your beautiful words about Ultimo Mulino! We are happy that you enjoyed! We are very sorry that you found inconveniences. We changed the most of mattrasses last year, but, as per your advice, we will check them again. Regarding the shower, the morning of your departure, during the cleaning of your room our... More

A delightful rural retreat in the Chianti region yet within easy reach by car of everywhere to visit. It is peaceful and secluded with helpful and attentive staff. We were more than happy to wine and dine here on each of our 3 nights as the food was very good and the wine list offered plenty of choice. Also, dining... More

What we liked most about l'Ultimo Mulino was their very long pool - a great place to spend a hot afternoon. The location of the hotel is just perfect for a weekend getaway. Very quiet, hardly any noise at all. The breakfast was unspectacular, though. They need to jazz it up a bit. Guests staying at l'Ultimo Mulino are likely... More

What a wonderful treasure in the Chianti area of Italy. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. We just were there last week and we would not hesitate to go back. The location is perfect, close to everything you want to go to. Again thanks for a wonderful experience in Italy,

The 4 of us spent 5 nights at L'Ultimo. Great experience. Very pleasantly rebuilt old building. Cozy atmosphere. Pleasant staff. Good wines. Good kitchen - albeit with a limited menu which changes on a daily basis.
