My family went for the wine tasting dinner. At first we were concerned with the small portion cheese and meat because we weren't sure what we had signed up for, once the food and wine started flowing we fell in love! The homemade lasagna was an all around favorite. All of the different wines were fantastic -we ordered 8 to... More

We absolutely loved visiting this family operated winery- it was the highlight of our 2 week European vacation! We loved the food and wine pairings - charcuterie, handmade lasagne, pork w salad from the garden, and amazing biscotti. I suggest coming in the afternoon for a long lunch tasting

My parents and I visited Fattoria Sant'Appiano for wine tasting and lunch on Friday May 29, 2015. We had a great experience. The family that operates this winery are knowledgeable and kind. Even though I don't drink wine I still very much enjoyed the experience and learning about the wine-making process here. My parents, who do drink wine, said the... More

after winery experience in the past in San Francisco of america, here it founds us with our daughters to explore another one in a beautiful and peaceful Tuscany on spring!!! So calm place, beautiful surroundings in forest and gardens, lovely and warm owners as well as their place & winery! We had a fantastic time while exploring the place inside... More

As an open and honest reviewer, I feel compelled to write this description as i know my experience was far different from the ones I have read. I spent 3 nights at Fattoria Sant'Appiano and I wanted to rate each faction of my stay, starting with lodging, experiences, and dining. Lodging (2/5 points) AWFUL - This was so gross. I... More

I'm an honest person too and I'm always open to discussion, I am sorry that your stay was so terrible, actually when you left the apartment you were not so angry. About the ants, you have spoken of the infestation, and have posted photos with only one or two ants and is well known that in the countryside, especially in... More

This was the second time we visited the family run Gherardini winery/farm at Sant' Appiano and we were not disappointed. Two years ago we stumbled upon the place and were very pleased with the small winery. The wine tasting lunch was intimate and absolutely delicious. All the food is homemade and family recipes. The lasagna is one the best I... More

I went to Sant'Appiano farm for a wine tasting with light lunch: it is a cozy winery next to a beautiful village (btw, the church is very old and worth a visit). We had an incredible meal, authentic flavors of Tuscan appetizers, pasta with mama's style bolognese sauce, meat with some salad and almond biscotti with sweet wine. It might... More

Incredible setting to spend a few days - the apartment we stayed in was well kitted out with loads of space and a beautiful view over the toscana countryside right on the doorstep. You absolutely need a car to stay here as the village is tiny, but if you have one you will be rewarded with a proper tuscan escape... More

Our limo driver was nice enough to bring us to a family owned winery. Upon calling, the owner wiped us up lunch fresh from her garden with the BEST lasagna I have ever tasted. We did not stay at the resort, simply came to taste the wines and have a great lunch. We spent a fortune shipping wine home after... More

My husband and I stayed with Barbara in an apartment in September 2012. We loved it! The apartment suited our needs with a small kitchen for quick meal or morning coffee. We stayed for two weeks and used the apartment as our home base as we traveled the countryside and stayed in Sorrento for a couple days, Firenze and the... More
