This was our third consecutive stay at Al Gelso Bianco and honestly I can't imagine us spending our summer holidays anywhere else. It's simply perfect from the location, the setting, the standard of accomodation and care to the local wine and cuisine. The team of Stefania, Irene and Vittoria go out of their way to make one feel at home... More

We rented a two-bedroom apartment for a family of four (we have two girls, age 5 and 2.5) and it was one of the best weeks of vacation we've ever had. The grounds are gorgeous (wonderful pool for kids) and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The nearby town of Barberino Val d'Este is stunning and has great food.... More

On the basis of internet reviews, we elected to do the family pasta making course here with our 4 year old and 2 year old girls and their aunty. It was a lot of fun- a real highlight of our trip to the region. The 2 cooks were really enthusiastic and engaging and helped us make some delicious pasta and... More

We have stayed in Tuscany for many years, all over; Al Gelso Bianco stands out among the region's very best options. Like any special place, its more than one thing that makes it what it is--really the combination of a lot of good taste and special touches. The first is that setting, south of Barberino, exemplifies the Tuscan landscape at... More

We stayed in Al Gelso Bianco for one week with our two boys, 7 and 9. This place is a little paradise in a stunning setting in the heart of the Chianti region. Irene and her brilliant team looked after us incredibly well. We had a beautiful two bedroom apartment with terrace and views to San Gimignano. One of the... More

Irene and her friendly and dedicated team have created a little paradise at Al Gelso Bianco. The apartments and pool are set within a beautiful and meticulously maintained garden with views all around over the Tuscan hills. When we visited in early June the garden was filled with beautiful roses and our terrace was scented with the jasmine that grew... More

We had a three night stay at Al Gelso in Mid 2015. We were a family of 8 and it was the end of our 15 days Italian Holiday. Perfect place to rest and recoup our energies before going to Venice. We had wonderful rooms and kitchen facilities for our family. For Dinner we went to Cafe Bijoy at Barberino,... More

We visited Al Gelso Bianco for a pasta cooking class. We wanted to stay at the property for our stay in Tuscany, but there wasn't availability for our entire stay. However, we did decide to visit for one morning to do a family pasta making class which was just a wonderful experience. We have 2 boys, ages 4 and 6,... More

Our family visited Al Gelso Bianco for a cooking class (pasta making)--I had found them recommended as a "child friendly" environment. They exceeded all of our expectations! In fact, when we had additional family members come a few weeks later, we went back again to do the cooking class with this group! We had an amazing time on both instances... More

There is no other place for us to stay when we return to Tuscany. We received a good deal of assistance in the process of making the reservation with staff more than helpful in handling a number of enquiries. Vittoria was most attentive in handling any queries we had before arrival, and was most helpful in providing tips on what... More
