A fantastic hotel set in the most stunning countryside. Hotel is set on a hillside surrounded by vineyards and olive groves in the Val d'Elsa region of Chianti in Tuscany. Having a hire car was a great way to travel around the area and take in the most perfect scenery and soak up the atmosphere of the Chianti region. Hotel... More

Everything seems fine from the outside: beautiful villa, nice swimming pool, amazing view. From the inside: - the room is very small, the shower was not working properly, the water from the toilet was flowing constantly, the room was not clean (we even found dirty socks from previous clients). We had to climb on the chair to look trough the... More

My husband and I decided to stay in this hotel during our trip in Tuscany. We have chosen this place because of the beautiful view and looking good hotel on the pictures. The view is really beautiful but the hotel is not at all what we expected. Receptionist is not friendly and helpful. Breakfast is average. Swimming pool need heavy... More

Situated almost precisely half way between Siena and Florence, Villa San Filippo is ideally located for travellers wanting to get into the nitty gritty of Tuscany. You're a stones throw from some wonderful vineyards, San Giminano is a short hop away, Barbarino Val D'elsa has some lovely wines and food on offer, and you're less than an hour from Florence... We are staying at this villa as part an organized tour with Odysseys unlimited. The villa has incredible views of the Tuscany hills. Dinners were included with our trip. If your not in a tour you still can eat there. The dinners were very good with a few courses. Usually a pasta dish and then some meat. Also desert was... More

My wife and I stayed for four nights here as part of a small travel group. The location of the hotel and the scenery that can be seen from it are spectacular. However, you must have a car when staying here to get anywhere. Plenty of parking is available. The hotel itself is a converted villa and there are a... More

This is a very beautiful location. You can relax swimming in the pool or just staying and admiring the landscape. It is awesome. The food at the restaurant is very well prepared. Congratulations for the chef. The only simple bad thing is that the Wi Fi is not so strong and you may have problems connecting the internet. But in... More

Everything about this hotel and its grounds is beautiful. As soon as you enter its gate you fall in love with the place. We were greeted by lovely people who showed us the way to our nice kept room. The decor is what you would find at a country villa, rustic and lovely. The views from our room of the... More

Just returned from a four day break to this wonderful part of Italy. Villa is in a beautiful location with fabulous views all around and is a charming spot to explore Tuscany but you will need a car to make the most of it. Breakfast had a great choice of cold meats, cheeses, fresh breads, croissants and Tuscan delicacies to... More

This place is advertised on most websites as four star!! This is definitely not four star accommodation , but I would make it a three. It is a lovely building, with lovely views of the countryside, but unfortunately it disappoints on so many levels. If you take away the scenery, and the surrounding exterior of the building, you are left... More
