It doesn't happen often but La Canonica di Cortine is a place that exceeds its website photos and descriptions. It certainly exceeded our expectations. Midway between Florence and Siena, it was perfectly located for exploring the Tuscan and Chianti regions. The facilities and grounds were beautiful, and Lucia and Stefano were gracious, helpful hosts. We stayed in the Solatio Villa... More

No matter how many places I visit in Italy, Cortine will always be our favorite. It is a wonderful place with apartments(actually free standing houses) , a B&B, and a large villa. The amenities are all modern and the staff is wonderful. The receptionist speaks 3-4 languages and the owners, Stefano & Lucia, cater to every guests needs. A diamond... More

If you plan to visit Florence, Sienna and the Tuscany Wine Country, this is a perfect place to stay! Torre Vechia, the bed and breakfast part of this resort, is magical. The decor is beautifully done and the staff cannot do enough to help make your stay special. The property is easy to find and located within 30 minutes drive... More

La Canonica di Cortine surpassed my expectations in every possible way. Far enough from the beaten path to be quaint and charming, but close enough to main roads to be logistically convenient. The estate is meticulously maintained by a staff that is amazingly professional and accommodating. Irene and Bennie were a delight, and Lina's breakfasts were always a great way... More

This bed & breakfast is a short way off the S2 between Siena and Florence near San Donato. That is why I chose it---- in the country but close to the main highway. It is an ancient Tuscan castle among the vineyards. We had the Leonardo Room which is a Junior Suite with 2 twin beds upstairs. Clean, roomy, and... More

My husband and I have just returned from a 6 day stay at the B&B Torre Vecchio within the Canonica di Cortine. Words cannot describe the total beauty, peace and welcome one finds here. The owners Lucia and Stefano are wonderful! The staff, Irene, Lena and Sylvia are priceless. The website does not do total justice to the place. The... More

We had a lovely stay at la canonica and Elisa did a great job during our stay and Lina's breakfast was just yummy. It is perfectly located and diligently looked after. I would return there anytime, but would beforehand call to ask if there are any groups of people staying in that time period. We were a bit unlucky when... More

Our family has just returned from a beautiful week at La Canonica de Cortine and it is hard to describe how wonderful the trip was. Owners Lucia and Stephano have put their souls into restoring and running this villa estate set among the vineyards and olive groves of the Tuscan hill country. Near to Florence, Sienna, San Gimignano and other... More
