Our stay in the Villa Castrum in June was a magical experience. The Villa is beautiful! It is surrounded by gardens and olive trees in the county. When we arrived it was pouring and we were warmly greeted by Stefano and his son Andrea with umbrellas and prosecco and snacks. Soon, the rain cleared and we had a glorious rainbow!... More

Dear Guests, I would like to thank you for writing a so nice review on our property, and I am glad to know that you had a nice stay with us. Although it was pouring at your arrival, soon after the sky cleared and the rain stopped, to show a gorgeous rainbow over the Chianti landscape, like a natural and... More

After staying here twice before, we were able to get our family (10 of us total) to vacation here together. This is our favorite spot in Italy. We stayed in Villa Castrum which was very peaceful and relaxing. Beautifully decorated with attention to detail. We arranged for La Canonica to cook us dinner and what great meal we had! The... La Canonica is set in a lovely location, the rooms are all individual with great character and you will not be disappointed with the whole experience of being a guest at this excellent establishment. A few things which might help. It's not a hotel so don't expect a bar or evening restaurant but don't let that put you off, the... More

excellent service, very helpful with everything, very good cooking class with a pedagogical and friendly chef, calm environment and a nice room, nice surroundings. But you need a rental car, definitely! To get there, but also to explore the wonderful small roads in Tuscany!

We had a lovely 2 nights here as part of a bike trip with I Bike Tuscany (amazing!). The pool and hot tub are not heated so it wasn't warm enough to enjoy them but they looked inviting and we enjoyed sitting in the garden to read in the sun. THe location seemed ideal for visiting the many nearby towns... More

We lived staying at this charming bed and breakfast!!! The service was incredible! The rooms were clean and wonderful. The pool was inviting and we relaxed on the lounge chairs between biking excursions. What a wonderful experience!! I'd love to stay here again.

My wife and I recently stayed at La Canonica di Cortine and we had an unforgettable time! We spent 6 days there and our only regret was not having stayed longer. The owners; Lucia and Stefano, as well as Elisa (the manager) went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Not only did they help with our time on... More

Amazing place, amazing service and amazing atmosphere. The castello is well taken care of and it feels authetic. The owners are very very nice and polite. They welcome you and really make you feel at home. We will surely go there again.

This is the best place I've ever been in Italia. A quiet, beatiful and peaceful place in the heart of the Chianti area. While staying at la Cononica you can take a car and visit lots of villages and small towns full of wine and olive cultures, castles where the finest Chianti wine can be tasted. The people is very... Me and my wife stayed here for 7 nights for our honeymoon, and it was simply magical. Waking up to the rolling hills of Tuscany every morning, fireplace to be romantic & cozy, 30 minute driving distance to Santa Maria Novella train station in Florence made it such an ideal location for our amazing honeymoon. The owners Lucia & Stefano... More
