There are some real positives to Casa Talia, namely an amazing view and a nice garden for taking breakfast which was tasty but there were a few major negatives which we didn't expect when paying >€150 per night and it compared poorly to all of the other places we stayed in during our trip in Sicily. The main issue was... More

Such a unique property, this place is a hidden gem and guaranteed to delight the most experienced traveller. Cannot do justice to the spectacular views and layout/design of this hotel, very special. Despite its location overlooking the town it is very easy to walk to the bars and restaurants in the centre (as long as you don't mind the steps... More

We didn’t want to arrive at Modica too early, so went over to see Ragusa Ibla first. Parked at the bottom of the gorge and walked up...and up. Well worth the effort though, for the San Giorgio duomo and fantastic views. We phoned Marco at Casa Talia before leaving Ragusa Ibla, and successfully followed directions from Real Holidays to get... More

This place has stunning views and a nice breakfast with amazing coffee. It is hard to find, as other reviews have said. Here's the thing: it's incredibly bright in the morning. The shades are sheer and the sun comes directly over the town into the rooms. I'm a picky sleeper, so that combined with no extra blankets and cold at... More

We have travelled a lot an have stayed at many fancy B&B's and small luxury hotels but this one beats them all. Everything was perfect. We stayed at the Syrah room and had a wonderful terrace with a stunning view on Modica. Not only the view but the interiors and the gardens would also fit perfectly in e.g. the Wall... More

Whilst it is a challenge to find, I thoroughly recommend staying at Casa Talia if for nothing else but the views. The staff are very friendly and rooms and food good. I don't hesitate to recommend you stay but be prepared for some serious steps up and down to town which is half the fun,

Loved this place...at the top of Modica Alta...but on the other side...Marco and his wife did a fabulous job renovating and stringing these rooms and buildings together. It is a 5-10 minute walk down to Modica Bassa where all the restaurants and shops are...but it was well lit at night. The breakfast outside on the lawn overlooking the city couldn't... More

Arrived from Syracuse by car - had a bit of difficulty finding the 'roundabout' which leads to the parking -but once we managed that landmark the rest was easy. It was a very warm day (stayed 2 nights 8th & 9th of August) when we arrived - but cold drinks awaiting us in the mini-fridge were delightful . We had... More

Casa Talia looks amazing on line however I found it overpriced, grimy and with no extras. The bed (a queen size) was creaky, with an uncomfortable mattress, (2 singles mattresses pushed together)the headboard of which had flaking paint and looked tacky, the shower box had been bogged with filler and looked sad and tired. No mosquito plugs were provided, and... More

Cozy Comfortable Oasis. High above a lovely town (not too big and not too small) with a private patio. A perfect place to finish the night with a bottle of local wine. Very romantic. Breakfasts are fresh and delightful. Stayed three nights and loved the clean comfortable surroundings.
