I echo the previous reviews regarding the stunning views afforded by Casa Talia's location as well as the beautiful gardens. The website gives a very good idea of what your stay will be like. We were staying three nights in Modica while traveling with friends. Our friends stayed in Cedro (standard double room) and Agave (superior double room). I decided... More

My wife and I visited Modica on October 2014. We stayed in Casa Talia as recommended by Max the owner of BB22 in Palermo. The rooms are restored houses in the old Jewish Quarter. Each house is converted into a mordern en suite room. As the owner is an architect the interiors are modern but authentic. As I am also... More

Warm welcome, perfect service, helpful tips, amazing view, tasteful & healthy breakfast (loved the smoothies), extraordinary house-keeping, beautiful surrounding, great villages (Modica & Ragusa), close to the sea - we loved it and will come back!

We stayed here last week & what a great place Casa Talia is. It sits in the middle of this incredible town perched on 2 sides of the valley - looking out of the window is like looking at a painting. The hotel is more like a collection of individual small houses with lovely little walkways, paths, staircases, & gardens... More

Casa Talia was slightly difficult to find and one first impression the standard room looked rather basic but over time the place grew on you. The location and views are amazing, Modica is a beautifully baroque town in Sicily and Casa Talia is located in the old jewish quarter which was full of character and charm. Marco was the perfect... Press the entry buzzer and wait... I was shown to my room by a pleasant cheery guy who quickly explained to me how the place worked and then left. The setting is astonishing, design, chic, a collection of small buildings in an astonishingly lush garden overlooking the town which is on the other side of the steep valley. The room,... More

This "hotel" is a group of individual rooms (previously homes) carved out of the hillside of Modica, Sicily. The restoration works are nicely done. The setting is exceptional with a view across to Modica, its baroque Cathedrals and architecture. Breakfasts were nice in a grassy setting looking at Modica. Nice landscaping and care of the gardens. A couple of comments:... More

A unique hotel. A conversion of several adjacent houses provides a beatifully setting looking across to the main area of Modica. Rooms are spacious, elegant and of a rustic design. Breakfasts are serene with table service, fresh fruit and omelettes. There is no provision for dinner but the centre is 5 minutes walk down steep stairs and alleyways. (Bring some... More

All the rooms are in adjoining little renovated cottages with wonderful views across the valley to the cathedral. The rooms were adequately furnished but a bit stark. We thought it was overpriced for the standard of the accommodation. The breakfast is taken in the garden looking down across the valley - a wonderful setting. Delicious fruit smoothie for fruit juice.... More

The place is really piece of paradise. Located over the downtown - main street of Modica with outstanding and uncomparable view provides the feeling of privacy, intimacy and relax. Simple, brilliant idea. Few adopted houses transformed into the small guest house with carefully arranged garden. Simplicy and respect for the environment and sorrounding district is visible. Rooms are comforable and... More
