Loved everything about this gem of a hotel. Staff are wonderful- kind, welcoming knowledgable and go out of their way to help. They even park your car and provide a lift down to the town. The two nearby restaurants are terrific and Modica itself is stunning. Would absolutely stay again - it's a real treat

we stated in Modica in this lovely hotel in its suite room. Lovely room, typical al fresco walls and ceilings, clean with all amenities for its 4 star. Breakfast typical in a lovely garden and well parking service nearby in the Modica Citta Alta. Definitely if we ll be back we will stay again. Also friendly and helpful staff during... More

After a great stay and discovery of Hotel Palazzo Failla a few years ago, the decision to return for another stay with a larger group this time certainly paid off. A charming hotel, great food (dinner and breakfast!) and the most welcoming and attentive team to look after all of us. Thank you and we will be back! J. Kapp... More

The staff at the Palazzo Failla went out of their way to make our stay a wonderful experience. Every opportunity to serve us better & treat us well was taken. They helped us with parking, gave directions, recommendations, told us about local events while we were there, gave us bars of Modica chocolate in our room - even a city... More

This truly run family hotel was a great place to base ourselves for exploring the area. The staff were more than helpful and went out of their way for you. Breakfast was adequate and plentiful. We parked our car in their garage for a charge but they parked it and brought it back to you each time you wanted it.... More

Staff were welcoming , very helpful and went the extra mile to make our stay great. Parked our car on road nearby for us , sorted tour of the town. We stayed in a room just across from the main building which was very comfortable and quiet too . We ate at the hotel restaurant and the food was fabulous... More

This hotel has it all: The room was magical--high frescoed ceilings; beautiful antique furniture; tall shuttered windows with balconies, lovely tile floor. And the lobby and various public sitting areas are equally charming. The food was fabulous--breakfast is the best we had in Italy--fresh breads, local cheeses and salamis, fresh fruit, great cappuccino and always treats from the adjoining café.... More

Let me tell you first of all about these people. On the day I arrived, Signore Failla himself came down to the bus stop in Modica Bassa to pick up my luggage and me (otherwise it would have been a 300+ step climb or a 10 euro taxi). When I emerged from my room around 4pm after a much-needed kip,... More

This is a wonderful hotel with an incredible atmosphere located in a nicely rebuilt palazzo in the heart of Modica Alta. The staff is very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our time there very much. The breakfast buffet is plentiful and of very good quality. The same applies to the restaurant belonging to the hotel.

Glad we picked palazzo failla. It is up a hill at the top of the town near the Duomo, a walk up stairs (10 mins) from the town centre but perfect once you've seen the chocolate shops and want a quiet evening base. There is a great restaurant next door (Locanda Colonello), a cafe pastry shop on site and a... More
