In the midst of baroque southeast Sicily this boutique resort is a breath of fresh air. The modern style room and bathroom were spotless and spacious. Staff were very friendly and went out of their way to pamper us and solve any (minor) issues, eg arrange beds at a beach club when the hotel pool was closed for maintenance. Breakfast... More

The staff and hotel were very well come, it was really clean and in a peaceful location. The rooms were quite spacious and clean, while the breakfast was excellent and included most of the items one can imagine in a breakfast. I really recommend this resort !!!

One of the best hotels I visited. The location is accessible yet right in the middle of the countryside, the interiors are well designed and the rooms are most comfortable. The staff extremely gentle and helpful. Finally the food was excellent. I would have liked to stay longer.

Pietre nere is an awesome boutique resort in the middle of nowhere. Great staff, and great facilities: we stayed in the suite and we really regret we couldn't spend a full day in the resort: swimming pool , tennis courts and and other facilities. The restaurant is great as well: contemporary sophisticated cuisine and wine. Great attention to details at... More

Helpful friendly staff. Modern clean new facilities Gourmet dinners at moderate prices. In a quiet country location (which means you need your own transport) but handy to town and beaches. Superb breakfast including almost everything one could wish for including a cooked breakfast of eggs and bacon (a welcome change for New Zealand travellers in Sicily). If you are looking... More

We have just arrived back from a weeks trip at this hotel. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite which was lovely, clean and spacious however too close to the road so a bit noisey with traffic at some points although it is NOT a main road! Would reccomend staying in a regular room set in the hotel away from... More

We stayed at this hotel for 9 nights and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves using it as a base to explore Modica, Sicili, Ragussa and the southern coast. We could not fault the hotel - the rooms were very modern and the beds of memory foam were so comfortable. The staff were always very helpful and attending to your needs. A special... More

Perfect service, very clean and modern hotel. Great breakfast. No surrounding town, so you need a car when staying here. We will stay here next time in Modica and recommend it to all others going to Sicily.

Thank you for your review. That's right, we are in the countryside of Modica, near the archeological park of Cava Ispica, just five minutes from the downtown but in a central position to visit the Baroque cities of Val di Noto. We do hope to welcome you and your friends again in the future. Best regards. More

It is the 4th time that my wife and myself spent our few free days at this magnificent hotel which reflects simplicity but at the same time excellent service in all aspects. It is valve for money and the staff care so much for their clients. I now feel like going home each time I spend a few nights in... More

Hotel is located in the middle of a hilly country side. Heath surrounding with many low stone walls and olive trees which makes the country side very charming. Navigation not able locating the street name, you can use "Cava d'Ispica" as direction. The hotel is situated between Modica and Cava d'Ispica, an exit of provincial road SS115. Staff (Marinella &...
