beautiful arty hotel in the center of Modica. Actually, a little bit too old... Based on the pictures and reviews in internet, we booked the room with the bath tube near the bed. Although we travelled to Sicily in May, it rained quite often so the room was incredibly wet and we had to use the heating all day long.... More

This was one of the most delightful hotels I stayed in while travelling round Sicily. Modica is under World Heritage, it's a tiny town, easy to walk around, the people so friendly and honest. My room was like stepping back in time, beautifully decorated, and clean. Perfect location right in Main Street. I arrived around 3-4 pm which was ideal,... More

Beautiful boutique hotel in the center of Modica, that fits very well into the baroque Val di Noto region. All major sights of Modica are in walking distance from the hotel - if you are ready to climb up the hill. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was (of course) old-fashioned but functional. It fit the theme. It... More

A very cozy and ancient looking hotel. We stayed there only for a day. Hotel manager was very helpful, polite and well-mannered. We stayed in a family room, witch was quite spacious. Unfortunately we have stayed there in a very hot weather. Air conditions wasn't working properly and it was very hot. The nearby street was very busy even at... More

Myself, hubby and 9 month old baby stayed here in September 2013.I have to say the hotel was beautiful, very quirky and unique. The staff were brilliant. In my ignorance,I thought all hotels in Sicilian countryside would have a kettle so I could make up bottles for the baby.i requested a kettle from reception and was told it was no problem, they would drop... We went to Modica for a night and spent in this historical hotel. The room we stayed was a but odd and dark. However the service was really excellent. Lorenzo was always helpful and made our stay pleasant. The only problem we had was the diversion of the road. It took us 90mins to get out of town in the... More

A superb hotel. We stayed there for a week at Easter. Lorenzo was so helpful; a fantastic manager. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Hotel is in a fantastic location to explore. Cannot recommend it enough!

We were upgraded to the Bishop's Room, which is beautiful if a bit formal--felt rather like we were staying in a doll's house! Nevertheless, it was nice to have the small balcony. The staff is very pleasant and accommodating. Breakfast was great (one of our best) with buffalo mozzarella and fresh orange juice. One of us felt the bathroom was... More

This is a quirky place, oddly shaped rooms, crazy color schemes, super-odd lobby and a difficult breakfast area. I've not seen any other hotel in town but I suspect this may be among the top five. What separates it from others may be Lorenzo and Sylvia. Two super smart desk clerks who will make your stay welcome. The place is... More

This Hotel is the best. Thats the only words i can think of to describe the wonderfull location, excellent staff and great rooms. I stayed here in september and the hotel was busy, but the staff always had time to have a chat or help recommend somewhere local to visit or eat. The rooms are clean and tidy, this hotel... More
