This hotel was a former priest's house and has a nice interior with a patio. Rooms are comfortable with all necessary stuff like a safe and a fridge. Wifi signal is weak and slow (in my room). Although bathroom is spacious the shower itself is very small. Airco functions very well (and is needed during summer!). When you have a... More

We booked a first floor room not knowing that it meant "located between hotel lobby and busy street" which resulted in very noisy evenings - we could hear conversations from both the street and the hotel lobby. When we arrived, the air conditioning was leaking water, so we advised the front desk. When we later returned to the room, we... More

The hotel is a beautiful small historic building on the inside, rooms with high ceilings (at least on the first floor), but without much atmosphere. I changed rooms as my airconditioner did not work properly and in the room of my travel companion was a bad smell, that was dealt with the next day. Four stars is exaggerated, so is... More

Walking distance to everything in the old town. Rooms are very characteristic with high ceilings spacious with tall windows. It was once a summer residence for nobles and the atrium is wonderful. The service was excellent. In the summer you can eat breakfast outdoors.

We booked this hotel for a couple of nights as it was right near to the old town based on the fact that it had good reviews and free parking. The hotel is near the centre of the old town but is very dated and the air con is really poor. We booked on the basis that we could park... More

A holiday in Salento is among the best choices you can make if you like blue seas, italian food and major art and history attractions. Gallipoli is perhaps the best stay in salento. Il Pescatore (the fisherman) is among the best hotels in town, thanks to XVII century architecture and brilliant renewing. Ask for a room with a view of... More

Super staff, very helpful, hotel has been tastefully renovated, but could do with a better sitting area within the hotel. As you have to park down by the port, which the hotel overlooks, it is very handy and there is always something going on with the busy fishing fleet. Good food and service at the hotels' restaurant. Breakfast as you... More

Excellent quality for money. Top location. Nice spacious room in monumental hotel. Very friendly staf. We had an excellent diner (fresh fish) and good breakfasts on a small terrace in front of the hotel. Spacious rooms.

We've just spent a week at this hotel and the staff are the jewel in the crown. We booked late so consequently we couldn't get rooms with a sea view and balcony. Our friends had room 216 which is very compact and also very close to the air con units which are obviously noisy. Our room 218 was far more... More
