My wife and I stayed at the Michelangelo in Arona for 45 days (Nov – Dec) while relocating to Italy. The rooms are large, clean, with the expected amenities. What makes this hotel special you might ask… the owners! Roberto, Fulvio, and Uta are exceptionally warm and welcoming. They truly enjoy meeting their guests and talking about current events, travel,... More

We arrived quite late at this lovely little hotel-Roberto was slightly incredulous that we had travelled all the way from Rome that day,by train and gave us a lovely welcome. We were a bit disappointed to find the restaurant wasn't open so nipped into town to have a quick drink (8 min walk)-not many places open there either so went backed... We stayed here for one night at the end of a week's holiday on Lake Maggiore. We had a huge room at the front, which was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was unusual, in that we were served one thing at a time in no particular order; croissants, omelette, cheese and ham toasted sandwiches, and strawberries - and we didn't know... More

Spent 3 days here at the end of a 3 week Italian trip, didn't want to deal with Milan before departure. EASY to get here and back to Malpensa Airport by bus ($7US). Walking distance to everything, easy stroll to lake. Room large, bright, clean, modern. Not fancy but very adequate for the price. Breakfast delightful, made breakfast panini for... More

The Hotel Michelangelo in Arona was our last stop on a beautiful Italian road trip. It didn’t disappoint us - although the property gives a feel of being relatively old. The Hotel/B&B is well situated; only a few minutes walk to the the lake and the town center. The owner is truly welcoming, friendly helpful and vivacious in the best... More

It was an arduous trip getting to Aruna, what w/ a train snafu in Milan. Chose Michelangelo because of its good Booking.com review scores but was pleased to have two old fellows know to point us to the RIGHT as you depart the station (most hotels are on the left); from there it was a pleasant & pretty stroll. Our... More

This hotel is only a few hundred meters from the city centre of Arona (which is a nice little town at Lake Maggiore), therefore awesome when you want to explore the area around Lake Maggiore and enjoy some city nightlife. We booked a double room but were offered a family room instead for the same price, which was really comfy.... More

We chose to stay in Arona for our tour of Lake Maggiore. I found the hotel online. It is an older hotel that has been renovated. The room for 2 was huge and spotless clean. Parking was protected. Our issue is that the toilet was very high (our feet did not touch the ground (we are 1.62m. and 1.75) and... More
