I am Italian but lived and worked in London for 28 years, when I go to holiday to Italy, once a year, I expect to go to a beautiful and really quiet place. My partner is English and he loves the good weather but does not enjoy the sea as he can't take the heat. So this year we decided... More

Lovely basic accommodation only a 5 minute walk down to a peaceful lakeside grassy bank lined with trees and hammocks. The local restaurant is basically a barbeque but we ate there every day and loved it. Very hygienic family run operation and the bruschette and burgers are to die for. All in all a nice place to relax away from... More

We visited Rome and surroundings this September. We chose to stay in an agriturismo the first week and then 3 nights in Rome, because I wanted to wake up & go to sleep in this beautiful city... In the end we decided to stay 3 extra nights in Il Castoro (happily our appartment was still available), simply because we loved... More

Great spot near a beautiful lake. The accommodation is basic but clean and comfortable. ideal for a couple of nights away from busy Rome, or good if you have young children - they'll love the lake, tractors and small play park.  The accommodation is initially hard to find, down a long single-track road, and it's unclear where/how to check-in (maybe... A nice quiet house with enough space for two. The entrance way is a dirt road, not easy to drive on with a luxury car. Lake Martignano near the house is a perfect place to end the day after for example visiting Rome. Rome is just 40 minutes by car away, although it might be a better idea to use... More

It's not a hotel but an "agriturismo". There are four little appartments (ground floor) in an old barn. It's all part of a farm situated at the Lago Martignano. There is also a little camping site. We went there in the summer of 2008 and 2009. We are a family of 5: Mom, dad, 3 boys aged 11 and (twins)... More
