We stayed here on our honeymoon, in room nr. 1 (Mulier suite). Wonderful room, very nice and authentic hotel next to the church. We liked the small scale and personal attention from the staff! Home-made cake for breakfast, fresh orange juice, good coffee: just perfect. Unloading luggage can be done in front of the hotel, we parked our car about... More

This place is right next to the station, shops and beach! Arriving at Moneglia station we were told that we could walk to our hotel. When we reached the outside of the hotel, we felt a little nervous. There were no big flashy signs, no welcome mat, and no ordinary automated doors that lead to a reception desk. But oh... More

A wonderful place to stay to enjoy both the towns of Cinque Terre and also the Italian Rivera. With easy access to trains you can walk the famous trails of Cinque Terre or head off in the other direction to visit beautiful San Margherita and walk the 5 km along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea to Portofino. The converted... More

We had a wonderful 4 nights at Abbadia San Giorgio while visiting the Cinque Terre in large part to Angelo and the wonderful Susanna. The Abbey is a beautiful building full of fantastic history (ask for a tour of the room on the ground floor that holds pictures of its history) that has been beautifully converted into a B&B. The... This family-owned converted abbey was as nice as any hotel anywhere. All apsects were outstanding: the room, the furniture, the bathroom/shower and amenities, the made-to-order breakfasts plus outstanding continental breakfasts, the incredible setting, and the convenient location in town and within a few blocks from the train station in this beautiful quaint town with an incredible ocean view. Not many... More

We arrived well after dark to the town of Moneglia but Mr. Angelo was more than accomadating in checking us in despite the late hour and assisting us in parking our car. The former monastery now a hotel is an absolute beautiful mix of old world architecture with all the acutrements of a modern hotel! The breakfast was also absolutely... More

Moneglia is in between the Cinque Terre and Positano, on the coast and away from the throngs of tourists. Abbadia San Giorgio is a former monastery attached to the Duomo in Moneglia. We arrived after dark and had trouble finding it...but that was the last if our troubles! Five star appointed, modern rooms off of a beautiful courtyard. Serene and... More

Stayed a week in a larger room facing the street - every morning stepping our overlooking the black-and-white painted church framing the southside of the old monastery courtyard. Recommend to choose one of the two rooms overlooking the pedestrian square instead. Wonderful, unassuming, historical guesthouse, if a bit pricey. Run by the father-daughter team that also operates the Edera Hotel... More

Extremely helpful staff/owners. Relatively easy to find with good parking possibilities. Great location in Moneglia at five minutes distance to railway station (perfect for taking the train to Cinque Terre). As mentioned the owners go the extra mile in every way possible to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Make sure to ask them for good restaurants! The Abbadia... More

Beautiful abbey, with peaceful courtyard. Extremely clean. Delicious breakfasts (Susanna is amazing!). Friendly, helpful staff. Lovely room (washroom was a bit cramped, given the room size - stayed in Honeymoon Suite). Excellent location (took only a few minutes to walk to the train station). The town of Moneglia is a proper town, in and of itself, with good amenities (e.g.,... More
