A truly wonderful experience. From arrival to departure, everything was perfect. The small group of staff are welcoming and friendly. By the end of my stay (9 nights) I felt more like a friend. They are always willing to help and to provide advice on places to visit. The breakfasts are wonderful. Fresh produce from the local area, amazing omelette's... More

As soon as you arrive at the Abbadia, you feel at home. The staff are warm and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are well appointed and very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing - from beautiful yoghurt and fresh fruit salad to incredible omletles and awesome cappuccinos. Our stay (7 nights) was simply wonderful. It is well worth... More

I had the best time ever at Abbadia san Giorgio. All the staff were accommodating, helpful, funny, warm and just really great people. The breakfast was unbelievable, fresh fruit & organic yoghurt, cheeses, salamis, omelettes, poached eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon, different breads, delicious home made cakes, cappuccinos, and the best best ever hot chocolate. The rooms are spacious and have... More

We stayed here two nights as our base for a bicycle trip. The rooms were large, comfortable and well appointed. We had a comfortable sitting area, as well as a bed area. It was quiet but close to the town area, so we were able to walk to restaurants and the train station. Breakfasts were great, with plenty to eat,... More

Once we stepped inside the gate of this tranquil abbey we were made to feel welcome. We received good advice for exploring further afield. The spacious & well appointed room was a delightful surprise. Suzanna's delicious breakfast served on the balcony was a real treat. It was hard to say goodbye. Highly recommended.

My husband and I stayed here from 15 August for seven days. We are very active middle aged couple so the room on the first floor did not faze us. It was beautiful with all amenities taken care of.The balcony over looking the cloister is a welcome retreat from the seaside village Moneglia It is very close to the railway... More

Really characterful B&B in an old monastery. We stayed in the honeymoon suite (Mulier), very clean and comfortable room. Suzana and her father were wonderful hosts and made excellent suggestions for places to visit and places to eat. Very relaxed atmosphere, wonderful breakfast with lots of delicious local produce, so much choice that we were tempted to have a four... More

We stayed here on our honeymoon, in room nr. 1 (Mulier suite). Wonderful room, very nice and authentic hotel next to the church. We liked the small scale and personal attention from the staff! Home-made cake for breakfast, fresh orange juice, good coffee: just perfect. Unloading luggage can be done in front of the hotel, we parked our car about... More

This place is right next to the station, shops and beach! Arriving at Moneglia station we were told that we could walk to our hotel. When we reached the outside of the hotel, we felt a little nervous. There were no big flashy signs, no welcome mat, and no ordinary automated doors that lead to a reception desk. But oh... More

A wonderful place to stay to enjoy both the towns of Cinque Terre and also the Italian Rivera. With easy access to trains you can walk the famous trails of Cinque Terre or head off in the other direction to visit beautiful San Margherita and walk the 5 km along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea to Portofino. The converted... More
