This hotel is located at the beachfront Letojanni area, and the beach is just 5 meters away from the entrance after crossing the road. It is not in the old town of Taormina, it means that you need transportation up to the hill in order to reach the lively old town of Taormina. The hotel has two entrance, the front... More

We did not stay much in the actual hotel, but it was nice and close to downtown Sorrento! You only have to walk maybe four blocks to get downtown. The staff was fine, but they tried to charge us for a key that had been broken before we arrived...

-Waiting staff rude -Food vile(unknown meat) -Walls oddly chalky left marks on everything -In the middle of no where in with one tiny shop -Bar wasn't open -WiFi didn't work -Rooms freezing -Lift fits two people in at max (forget about cases) -The best thing was the company and the fact we bought drinks in Sorrento its self -The floor... The service was awful, the staff were rude, and the food was appalling. We had breakfast and tea in the hotel and both were practically inedible. During my stay with college we were the only people staying in the hotel and I can see why. The bar was never open, the wifi was broken and the rooms were absolutely freezing.... More

Was stranded in Sorrento after Easyjet delayed flight. Hotel Albatros had clean and large rooms with average pricing. Large breakfast selection and nice terrace near the pool with great views. Would recommend the apricot juice which took me back to my childhood. BEWARE they only accept cash and nearest ATM is a good 3km walk away. City tax also not... More

Compared to the five other places we stayed at on our 2 weeks in Italy, this is the one I give the lowest rating. To start, it is a nine minute walk (800m) from the Piano train stop. We had thought the hotel told us 5min so we started off poorly. The four of us stayed in a single room... More

Dear Customer, We are sorry to read this review, the distance indicated by us is correct ( 800 meters), the minutes will vary depending on the person. As far as the room she booked an economy room for this room was on the fourth floor and it seemed strange because a little smaller . The pool is in accordance with... More

I stayed at this hotel in the middle of August, travelling with my two teenage children. Would never stay again and certainly wouldn't recommend to anyone. The front desk staff are not friendly or helpful in anyway, the two women are quite rude. We had to wait 10 minutes for our room, but couldn't sit in the lobby as ALL... More

My family- (party of 7) just return from Italy staying at this hotel for 5 days for my cousin's wedding. On arrival they put my mom is a room tucked away from everyone which had a very bad smell coming from the toilet. When you lie on the hard bed any one that by can see you on the bed.... More

We enjoyed our stay in Hotel Albatros. It is very well-located in Piano di Sorrento, with its nice harbor (you'll find some very good restaurants there!) and beach (for most of them, you'll have to pay an entrance fee, however, if you just walk towards the west end of the harbour, you'll find a nice beach with no entrance fee... Before I arrived in Italy I checked out the reviews for all our hotels and this one had me worried, and I was right. It's outside Sorrento, so there's not a lot around to see or do. There is a beach a 15 minute walk away but you pay a bar to gain admittance and you have to pay for... More
