We were very happy to return to this hotel after two years and we were thrilled with the nice time we had at the hotel. Although our rooms on the top floor (Block A) were rather small, we were amply compensated with the magnificent view to the Aegean. The hotel is spotlessly clean and both management and staff were very... More

This hotel was superb value for money. Syros is a bit more off the beaten track than Mykonos/Santorini and well worth a visit if you're after something more authentically Greek. Ermoupolis is the capital of the Cyclades and as such quite a big town. But the atmoshpere is very relaxed and you will be sitting by the seaside having dinner,... More

We booked in advance as we were arriving on a 2am ferry. Short taxi ride and friendly welcome. Room very small, hot and with no outside space. Our request to move rooms the next morning was dealt with efficiently, and for a little extra we had a new (small) room with a large terrace and wonderful view. To sum up;... More

We stayed at the Syrou Melathron with a group of friends and colleagues, who chose it based on the great reviews and fantastic views. We stayed in the main building and some people from our party stayed at the annex, which was less fancy and had a distinctive musty odor in the rooms. The rooms were rather small (even by... More

We found the hotel comfortable, spotless, super views and a great friendly atmosphere. We experienced a few travel problems which the owners put themselves out big time to help and assist us, giving us much support and advice. Thank you! Highly recommend the Syrou Melathron.

Syros is a beautful town with grand accommondation worthy of the capital of the Cyclades. This hotel is in an amazing location 5-10 minutes walk from the port overalooking the sea. It is a beautifully restored stylish neo-classical building and possesses a real feeling of history and grandeur. It is not pitching itself as a boutique hotel and that is... More

The island itself is a special place. We came in the spring and hit perfect weather. We booked it last minute and there was only a few guests but we enjoyed our stay. Try and book a room seaside for a better view. The hotel is pretty old but well kept, it is part of the charm of the island.... More

My husband and I originally booked for 3 nights in this location but we felt so comfortable and the service was so great we extended for 2 more. The cheerful staff, headed by the charming hotel owner, could not do enough to make our stay pleasant and memorable. We started each day with a simple, lovely continental breakfast on the... More

We travelled to Greece without hotel reservations because we weren't sure if we could make our planned itinerary work due to possible ferry strikes, ferrry cancellations due to weather, etc. I had read reviews of this hotel prior to our trip, though, and when we were able to make it to Syros, we headed right over there and were amazed... Nice building, really good location, very clean rooms. Fantastic view from the balconies and the beautiful roof garden. Very kind staff. We stayed in a room with sea view and so we had an issue with road noise but nothing intolerable if you keep the balcony door closed. We had a very good time!
