As a group of six girls we chose to pay slightly more and stay in one of the 'nicer' hotels on Malia strip; we were disappointed and regret staying in this hotel. The staff were rude from the moment of arrival, rooms were all mixed up with another group of holiday makers, whom were forced to move and vacate the... More

We booked this hotel with high hopes as it seemed one of the better hotels located close to the strip. The hotel itself was not to bad as for the price and area we did not expect the Ritz. Upon arrival we was given our room key and the staff requested that we give them our passport numbers but did... More

Great holiday !!! We booked a holiday to Malia 2 weeks before we wanted a travel on 2nd April, unaware that the season wasn't due to start until late May. We booked in at the Philoxenia arriving at 11pm on a Thursday night. We arrived to see that the staff of this family run hotel were waiting up, ready with... More

I'm not doubt that Philoxenia hotel is the best hotel in Malia. Perfectly located hotel is near major street and sea. So cozy, clean rooms with fantastic view! We were 4 and had so much fun here! I'd love to come back to this hotel someday!

2nd time at this hotel and again it was brilliant! It is by no means the ritz, which I think some wrongly expect on here, but it is great for holidays with friends! The hotel is clean and secure, with the world greatest security guy mike, who can be stern and scary at first but is a little pussy cat... More

The taxi dropped me off at this hotel as most others in Malia are currently closed. The people were so friendly and helpful and gave me one of their newly renovated rooms, with TV, air con, shampoo and conditioner. The pool is amazing and the beer at the bar was good too.

Me and my three friends stayed at Philoxenia Hotel from the 23rd-30th August last year. The hotel was PERFECT. The bar was great because of the best barmen ever Kostah and Nas, they really made the holiday for us. The hotel is basically on the strip and over the road from mcdonalds!!! The beach is a five minute walk. The... More
