Arrived in the evening and wanted to stay at another hotel in Wolfach where we stayed before but as it was offseason, it was closed. Hotel Kreuz was open and the price was ok so we stayed here. The room was a good size and clean, the beds were comfortable as well. The continental breakfast that came with the room... More

My husband and I had a very nice stay at the Hotel Kreuz. The location was right on the main street and the free breakfast buffet was very good (standard meats, cheeses, fresh rolls, hard-boiled eggs, assortment of jams, coffee, etc). The staff did not speak very much English but they were very friendly and we were able to get... More

Located in the middle of the small downtown area that has romantic cobblestone streets and traditional old-world German architecture. Breakfast that came with the room was plentiful and included good coffee, poached eggs, coldcuts and bread. Rooms somewhat dated but very clean and efficient with plenty of space.

Comfortable rooms in the old town center. Lovely old half-timbered buildings on the small main street. Very good food in the hotel's tiny biergarten. Nice breakfast buffet. A great stop in the Black Forest.

Wolfach and notably Hotel Kreuz is a regular overnight halt whilst heading to or from the Alps Such a pretty town, not too big, with a cobbled main street Its quiet at night, and pleasant for a short wander after dinner Hotel has friendly staff with reasonable English. Availability of a couple of single rooms also helps for our group

We first stayed at this hotel in 1969 & been back many times since but not for about 20 years. It does look a bit tired from the outside & the rooms are a little old fashioned now but the reception was just as warm. They are clearly very pleased to have your company & do all they can to... More

The main (and almost only) street of this little Black Forest town was lined with beautiful Fachwerk (half-timbered) buildings. One hotel was particularly pretty, with red geraniums bursting from every window box, but its restaurant was Italian; opposite was a slightly less pretty one with a good German restaurant, so we decided to have the best of both worlds –... I traveled with a group of 8 family members that spaned in ages from 8 to 70 plus and spoke several different languages. This hotel by far was the best experience of our entire two weeks in Germany. It is a nice quaint hotel in a beautiful town and they value having you at their hotel. The rooms are standard... More
