we stayed in 2012 ski season for first time, met loads of people who come back every year Its not posh or super well equpped but it was perfect for a ski holiday, food was really excellent, posh stuff for the adults and plenty of good fresh basics for the kids. All was freshly made and tasty. Staff friendly, great for... More

To sum it up it is an amazing holel and as a fan of brutalist architecture it was a privalidge to stay here. All the family loved the holiday as the proximity to the slopes the food and all the staff where perfect. I cannot recommend skiing in flain enough and the hotel topped of an amazing experience.

I stayed here with my three younger siblings (11,3 and 1) and my Dad and step-mum from the 24th-31st of December 2012. The food was pretty disappointing as it wasn't very consistent; you had to chose either the child or adult menu and couldn't have a mix of both which was understandbale but difficult if you didn't enjoy the adult... Massively different under Langley management than when Crystal mismanaged it directly 4 years ago. Unless you are a fussy eater the food is excellent and matches Esprit or Mark Warner standards and their being no choice can mean you eat something very tasty you may not normally choose. It's clear in the brochure that it's a set menu so I... More

I understand this hotel will be closing at the end of the season, to be redeveloped as apartments. We stayed at the hotel in the week running up to Easter 2012, skiing as a family with Crystal. Overall the holiday was great but this was not significantly to do with the hotel - more to do with Crystal's childcare and... More

Returned from Flaine 2 weeks ago. Lucky we had amazing skiing conditions. Runs to suit everyone in a very large ski area. We stayed at Hotel Le Totem (myself/partner and 3yr old). Hotel rooms were basic, clean and comfortable. We stayed full board. Buffet breakfast and lunch - as much as you can eat, and 3 course meal served in... More

This was our third trip to Flaine and our second stay at le totem. As others have said this hotel will no longer be featured in the Crystal brochure. I heard a number of different explanations. It is certainly not going to be demolished as it is the French equivalent of a listed building. It is going to be refurbished,... More

We have just returned today from a fabulous week at this hotel. The only downside to this hotel is that it is a bit on the shabby side, but understandable given it is closing at the end of the season. It was absolutely ideal for us with two small children. The location was just perfect being right beside the ski... More

We have just returned from the best skiing holiday we have ever had, we stayed at Hotel Le Totem. The hotel was great, just a few metres from the slopes. Breakfast was a choice of buffet (yes the toaster was a bit slow but honestly get a life!), my two children had a hot lunch in front of them just... More
