We have been to great places in the Dolomites and in the Himalayas but coming to Chalet Saskia in Vaujany ( France) really is something special. Vaujany is a good starting point to explore some of the finest of what the West Alps have to offer; this is if you are there in the summer, the winter certainly seems to... More

Fantastic chalet in perfect walking, biking and climbing country. The chef is truly stunning and as good as many Michelin starred restaurants. The outdoor activities are on your doorstep and it is near most of the iconic tour de France alpine climbs.

Thank you for your precise review - it really is the perfect place for so many activities, especially cycling which has had a huge influx in interest recently. It has 5 of the worlds most notorious climbs on its door step: The Galibier The Col de la Croix de Fer The Glandon The Col du Télégraphe The Alpe d'Huex 26... More

Chalet saskia is a great place if you are doing the EDF alpe d'heuz triathlon or the etape. Marcus's food never fails to impress and views of the alps in the summer are amazing. 100% recommended this was out 2nd visit and we will certainly be back again.

Thank you for your review and frequenting our door step for the second time. It sounds like you really enjoyed the local triathlon which is truly a picture perfect setting but I can imagine that it would be a grueling task to complete, not to mention incredibly cold in the Lac Verney! If you have any pictures of your sporting... More

10 of us cyclists stayed at Saskia for a week in June, it was perfect. Halfway up it's own Col (Sabot, it's a good 'un) and perfectly located in beautiful Vaujany for alpes riding with all the headline famous (and hidden, not so famous) climbs are right here. As has been said many times already, Marcus is a top chef... More

Thank you for your sterling review! I hear you took the opportunity to sample a fair few local climbs that are not very well known which is great news, these tend to be less traveled by cars so you can really open the valves and enjoy your surroundings It sounds that you thoroughly enjoyed your stay in Saskia; appreciated its... We returned to Chalet Saskia after a four year break and were delighted to find it just as good. The real attraction is, of course, the incredible cooking of Marcus. I have eaten in 2 and 3* restaurants which did not produce like this. We were with friends who had some challenging allergies and Marcus just took it in his... More

Thank you for returning to Chalet Saskia and your lovely review! It is true that Marcus provides some of the most jaw dropping and delicious foods that we and our guests have ever had the pleasure of eating and we never stop LOVING to hear it. Next year we are planning on installing a sauna next to the hot tub;... More

Second time we booked with skipeak and second time we were enchanted with the package: resort, staff, chalets & food were all 5 star level for our families. We'd recommend everyone, but then again, we'd like to come back every year as well!! ;)

After a hard days skiing Saskia is a great chalet to come back to as it feels more like a home thank skiing accommodation. After tea the new hot tub is a perfect way to relax and sooth aching limbs! Marcus and his wife Rosa run the chalet and Marcus is an outstanding chef with every dinner being a gourmet... More

We stayed at Saskia as a Group with 18 others (14 adults, 4 kids). The food was stunning... ranging from 8 - 11 courses each night, of which the quality and variety was exceptional and the chef catered for all allegies. The apres after skiing was well done, although only wine was provided and beers / other drinks you had... More

Having just spent a week at Chalet Saskia I can confirm that it is a class act, comfortable, warm, wonderfully position with glorious unobstructed sunny views, very convenient not only for the ski lift/schools/ski hire with connecting lifts directly to the main lift station 2 minutes walk from the front door, but also for the fitness freak to use the... Everything is just so perfect at Saskia : Diners with superb "Chef" Marcus, services and rooms. Only weak point last year : quality of wines served at dinners. We raised the point after our stay, and the next year : news wines at top quality !. Progress has no limit so please continue to serve and host your guests with... More
