I stayed in this place as part of a conference, and the location really lent itself very nicely to an intellectual endeavour. As a former monastery it is eerily quiet safe the pidgeons, with a lovely inner courtyard to have an aperitif in or sit, read and contemplate the world. The rooms are nice, maybe not super-luxurious, but perfectly adequate... More

Not so many choices in town to stay, and this one has some advantages, but not so much. You're close to bus stations and the basilique and with a car you can visit the surroundings if you like the mountain driving. The Couvent itself is nice and quiet but the rooms are really standard. On our stay they charged us... More

A beautiful centre in an old monastery with lovely views on to the cloisters. Building clean and comfortable although perhaps a little austere. Didn't eat in restaurant. High parking charge and high price for using internet. We parked in the local park and used the wifi front hellcat tourist office contained within the monastery building

We went on a bit of a spiritual retreat, so it made sense to stay in the old Convent, the room and en- suite were great, the atmosphere and view onto the cloister was smashing, warm room, comfortable bed with good quality sheets, we decided to have breakfast there even though it was not excluded, as we wanted to drink... WOW...what a fascinating old building. I can only imagine the history here. The room was small, but we like it...just like it was in 1275. The room was clean and pretty, the bathroom was really nice with great water pressure and big fluffy towels. We ate at the restaurant for dinner and it was first class, amazing food. Definitely a... Quite an oddity. The whole place is nothing but stunning - if you like old stones and medieval atmosphere, this is the place to stay - unique and magic, you just feel you gonna meet Franciscan friar William Baskerville in "The Name of the Rose" at the next corner. Actually I was there for a meeting (a short stay then)... More

I spend three days here over the long week end, and I have only good things to say. The location is breath taking. Truly unique. Dont be put off by the negative comments. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. I was slightly disappointed with the food, but otherwise a great experience. Highly recommended.

The location, quaintness (as former convent) and beautiful courtyard were a fine trade-off for the room, which was a bit on the spartan side. Other pluses: 1. The restaurant was excellent 2. Quiet and still I would gladly return.

This hotel is a converted convent, with the benefits and disadvantages that that brings. The disadvantage (the only one) is that the rooms are small, being converted Nuns' cells - they were not used to 5* facilities! But the room is adequate, and the bathroom well executed. The restoration of the rest of the Convent has been done with great... More

Spent one night at this unique hotel which is located in a small village. Hotel is very picturesque, the courtyard which our room overlooked is beautiful. The beds weren't the most comfortable but were fine for one night. Parking was 10 euros a night or you could park outside for free. Nice place to walk around and see some history.... More
