We thought it would be a bit the same as the previous Bastide we have been to, but already at the entrance we were disappointed. First you had to look for the reception, which was not obvious & the lady who is running the hotel is quit unfriendly. She is only friendly to people she knows. We booked a suite... More

I stayed here a few years ago and had a magical experience so upon my return to the area I came back. It is a special place - set among vineyards outside of the town of Menerbes. The rooms are tasteful, good sized and comfortable - fashioned in a classic but not cliche French style. The dining room and terrace... More

This is one the places I have really enjoyed staying in. Besides the hotel rooms, they have Villas to rent. Those are amazing for families. Everyday breakfast is served at your table inside or outside the Villa and in the afternoon they leave fruits, cake and whatever you ask for. It´s extremely clean and well taken care of, besides being... More

This is a little gem of a hotel in the middle of a Provence vineyard... slightly reminiscent of "A good Year" but without Russell Crowe. It is elegant, relaxed, unstuffy and extremely comfortable with a delightful eclectic mix of antique and contemporary. Open fire. Our traditional French Provencal bedroom overlooked the vineyard and the rows of vines, (it is a... More

This was the first place we stayed during our honeymoon. We loved it! It was so unique, romantic, scenic, and special. The service is excellent! We definitely recommend doing the all inclusive breakfast and dinner option, we went for dinner somewhere else one night and totally regretted it. The menu completely changes every day. Their winery/vineyards is right there and... More

A beautiful hotel located in its own vineyard. It's everything you dream of when you think of Provence. Experience a wonderful dinner in the garden overlooking the vineyards, with lavender lining the paths. Dinner is a gourmet experience and the half board rate includes wine as well as a four course meal so be prepared to put on a few... More

This may sound over exuberant, but we gladly join the chorus. La Bastide de Marie is idilic in every way. Set in the vineyards of this fabulous countryside you have your own garden of Eden. Every detail, every person compliments what is a treasure of an experience. Come capture a part of the world that is truly distinctive and pleasurable.... More

Excellent service from start to finish. We were blown away by the food which was our best meal in France by far. We booked a comfort room but realised after we left we had been upgraded to a Bastide Room "Rose". This was truly beautiful with exposed beams, stone walls and a four poster bed. There was even a bottle... More

I was very satisfied with La Bastide. Most importantly, the food was xlnt (important because you are eating there at least twice a day), the setting was pretty and quiet and well located to the key places you want to visit and the rooms were quaint and nice. There is not much to do there so you need to have... More
