I'm writing this review with a heavy heart! On our eight hour car journey, door to door to our 'ruin in a Jungle' in Normandie we have used this wonderful hotel as our stopping off spot to refuel and enjoy some lovely hospitality. This has served us well for around twenty years and we always looked forward so much to... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and had dinner each night. We couldn't fault the food which was a set menu. I make the mistake of asking for salad instead of the starter one night and had just a bowl of lettuce with no dressing, but I will know to be more specific in future! The breakfast was fine, choice... More

We have stayed at this hotel many times in recent years while it was owned and run by M and Mme Harau. Sadly they sold the business in February 2014. The restaurant formally served quality gourmet French food but now it is not even ordinary. Our breakfast in the cramped bar was a limited supply of stale bread and a... More

I night stay prior to Britany ferry to Portsmouth ( mid afternoon sailing time ) right on the main road through the village, the bedroom (6) was more like a suite with a separate dressing room with a desk, bathroom and separate loo, the actual bedroom on the small size though. Situated at the rear of the property road noise... More

A new owner for one day. Oh dear what a disaster. Superb decor and a very professional waitress but the new owner as a "Maitre de l'Hotel" was untrained, under dressed (wearing jeans and a "hoodie" to serve in a 3 star gastronomic restaurant) he appeared as nothing more than a pizza van man! The food was cooked by the... More

We stayed one night at the Relais de la Poste, in one of their largest rooms - more like a suite. Service was friendly, the room was quiet and clean. We had dinner downstairs and the food was very good. On the whole, a nice stop even if the price was on the high side.

We would endorse completely the view by "jotheringman5" entitled “Friendly, convenient and great food”. It summarises our experience in mid-August 2012 completely. The only difference was that for most of our stay we had room No 1 which has a bath and is therefore more spacious. We later had room No 8 which faces onto the garden which is smaller... More

We stayed here en route for one night and really enjoyed it. The hotel is attractive, and the room we had (the little suite) was great - particularly as we were with our baby, as it meant he could sleep in the other room. Our room was very spacious and with nice views of the gardens. We were also with... More

We chose to stay in Thury Harcourt, using it as a base to visit Bayeux and the D-Day beaches. As we had a car, the location was pretty good for both. The hotel is quite small, but is a very attractive building towards the edge of town. There was ample parking. Our room was small, but quite comfortable. The lady... More
