This bed & breakfast inn is amazingly picturesque and a perfect place for a few days in the French countryside. The D-Day beaches, the Bayeux tapestry, and Mont St.-Michel are all within reasonable driving distance. The innkeepers are very friendly, quite helpful, and completely fluent in English.

We loved everything about Le Manoir de Herouville and wished we would have stayed longer. Catherine and Michael were extremely professional, friendly and most accomodating. Great attention to detail from the organic products to beautiful and comfortable rooms to the amazing farm fresh breakfasts. The property is so stunning, you will not regret time spent here. Catherine and Michael are the lovely friendly owners of this property. Staying with them is like visiting friends, we could have chatted with them for hours. Catherine recommended some fabulous local restaurants and made the bookings for us as well. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The house has been kept beautifully, the old staircase up to the... More

I love this B & B. First of all, the owners are incredibly genuine and good-natured. Second, the buildings and grounds are beautiful. Third, you can actually act like a kid or bring kids to this place. It's truly rare to find a place that has old world charm without old world fragility, but this property combines both virtues: a... Despite being in the peaceful countryside the manoir is close to Bayeux and Saint Lo and was a good base for exploring Normandy. The hosts were lovely and the manoir is very well maintained and has friendly dogs and chickens. Breakfast was good, parking excellent and Internet was excellent. Highly recommended.

Catherine and Michael are as wonderful as the reviews say, and the property is everything the reviews describe. The homemade cuisine is superb. It will be one of the highlights of your trip. Book directly on their website; it will save you some money and do these kind people a favor.

This was our base for three days exploring Normandy. I'm so pleased that we took the recommendation to stay here. The owners, Catherine and Michael, were both delightful and went the extra mile. It is a exceptional property situated in beautiful grounds. The breakfasts were lovely and if they sold their home made jam I would have bought a crate.... More

The owners of this hotel are incredibly warm and gracious, and the property is stunning. It's rare to stay somewhere that has a historical feeling and yet offers a full range of sports equipment, including a fantastic tennis court, a badminton net, a trampoline, and a rowboat.

Recently stayed 3 nights at this lovely B&B. Catherine and Michael were super hosts, super friendly and so helpful with ideas and logistics. Breakfast...perfect...fresh eggs!! We stayed in the "Blue" room which was so relaxing after long days at the sites, and our son stayed in the cottage which was equally tranquil. The entire setting, the grounds, the house, the...
