There aren't many places to stay in this town that is a little off the beaten path for tourists. Each room has a unique personality. If you need something in the evening, your French language skills need to be pretty good because there are not english speakers working around the clock. Our business group had some meals catered at the... More

I stay there every couple of months or so during business trips to the region. It's a very lovely building and retains a lot of it's history and old world charms and the setting is lovely. It has wonderful views across the countryside from the restaurant and terrace. The town of Cassel is nice and has several decent restaurants. It... More

I once popped in to ask for a brochure just after the Shoebeque had opened, and was offered a glimpse into almost all of the individually-styled rooms. I couldn't wait for an opportunity to stay there, and now I have! Friendly staff, historic building (residence of Marshal Foch during early part of World War I), attractive decor, on-site parking, and... More

We were meant to stay in their cheaper B&B but got upgraded to the 4* hotel for the same price, which was a real bonus. The hotel is in a great location and the village of Cassel is charming. It has lots of restaurants to chose from. We didn't eat in the hotel as guessed it would be pricey. We... More

We stayed when attending a wedding in a nearby location, what a great choice! The hotel is set in lovely surroundings, we saw a few different rooms and cottages as we were a big party and all the rooms are really really well thought out, some with great views over green fields and the service is amazing. Everyone we came... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here on July 3rd and 4th and we really liked this little hotel. I am used to business travel and generally stay in big chains like Marriott and Hilton. This hotel was a breath of fresh air. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room had an amazing view of the valley. When we... More

Can thoroughly recommend this hotel. Cycled from Dunkerque to this beautiful town and finding this hotel at the end of the bike ride was the best part! Friendly welcoming staff, stayed in the Moulin Rouge suite which was perfect for our romantic weekend. Room service Breakfast was a good price and well presented. Had a couples massage in the beautiful,... More

We can confirm earlier reviews on this hotel, located in the center of the little town Cassel, wich sits on a hill overlooking french flanders. Booked the room 'aziza' wich looked exactly as on the website: very spacy, very nicely decorated, separated bathroom and toilet, 3 large windows overlooking the small patio and street. Staff was extremely friendly, and a... More

During our travels we occasionally discover a 'little gem' , which is basically a place we know we will return to many times. We had booked rooms in La Maison des Sources as part of a suprise 50th birthday present for my sister. When we arrived at La Chatellerie to check in ( this is the sister hotel) we were... More

This is really amazing place. There are about 15 different decorated rooms in the hotel. We stayed in city of Africa – with african interior – furniture, pictures etc. all rooms have impressing interior and all necessities. Pleasant breakfast. There is a swimming pool, parking and free Internet. Very hospitable staff.
