I have rated this hotel very good because I like it. A lovely old building, it is the biggest hotel in Pezenas, very central and very quirky, you get a feeling of faded grandeur and eccentricity. I have stayed four or five times there and will be going again this month. The facilities have improved over the last year or... More

We stayed here on 1st September 2014 and the hotel is an original 19th century coaching inn so don't be put off by the bad comments as some people must expect modern facilities in a listed property which is not realistic. The breakfast was very good by French standards and the owner owns the Moliers Brasserie a few doors down,... More

Excellently situated in the centre ville, this beautiful but unloved hotel has been left to languish. The rooms are off the main body of the hotel with little natural light nor circulation. It feels like a motel. The memotabilia is fascinating and plentyful but all in all one to avoid

This is a charming hotel, entirely devoted to Moliere memorabilia and also beautifully decorated. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we were able to park our vintage (1927) car in a secure garage. Breakfast was a good buffet and we were able to eat dinner nearby in the Brasserie Moliere!

I chose this hotel for a group of friends and we almost took the hotel over for a week in May. I was a bit anxious about choosing it as it is quirky and things do go wrong. Our shower door had only two out of three panels, for example, so the bathroom floor got pretty wet, and one day... More

I often wonder what people expect when they book hotels, then write reviews, and more often than not it’s champagne service at lemonade prices. To put things in perspective we paid an average (seasonal prices change from June 1st) of 60 euros per night for both of us (excl breakfast). So that’s roughly just over two hundred quid for four... Le Grand Hotel Moliere is centrally located and was easy to find and the gentleman at reception was most agreeable and welcoming during check-in; he spoke very little English. The hotel itself is well-worn, but in a very charming and antiquated way. Our triple room was extremely spacious with plenty of room for luggage. The bathroom was clean enough and... More

A few years ago the Molière was worth avoiding. Now, in the gentle throes of renovation, it offers a splendidly relaxed welcome - a bit like staying with a slightly absent-minded aristocrat. It's a 19th century building which is gradually assuming a 17th century style. You walk in to what might have been a grand ballroom, with elegant furniture dotted... More

Le Grand Hotel Moliere does not offer good hotel facilities at all. Rooms are odd, windows dirty, parking shelter difficult to maneuver. Location is very good, the center of the center. The hotel gets some points because reminds hotels how they look 100 years ago. Even slow service fits to the leisurely, sluggish atmosphere. It is the charm of the... More

October 2012. Our party stayed in three different rooms, which were all nicely decorated and recently refurbished. The price on the internet is not what they charged, but they reduced this when I mentioned this to them. Little English is spoken, but a young man spoke well, and was helpful. It looks as though the Restaurant Mouliere close by is... More
