From the moment you arrive till your reluctant departure you will love this place. The setting and ambience are perfect and the rooms are slowly being transformed by the new owners into stylish havens of luxury. The courtyard is the most perfect place for an evening drink and the delicious breakfast is served in the sunny dining room . The... More

This Domaine always had a good reputation - but now, under the new ownership of Denise and Michael, the decor is vastly improved and the attention to details and the services offered by this couple are truly superb! The owners were kind enough to give me a full tour of this magnificent properyt, comprising three gites and several B&B rooms,... More

A Great Experience!! After a day spent discovering the region’s Cathar castles, the Domaine’s swimming pool is the perfect place to unwind. As evening draws in, enjoy an exquisite barbacue and have a good and interesting conversation with the owners with magnificent views of the vineyards around with a glass wine of the area, The Domaine elegantly blends traditional architecture... We returned to Domaine de Palatz in August, having visited a few times before. It was a good decision. Plenty of activities to occupy the children and a fabulous pool. It was even lovelier than we remembered, the welcome, the gite and the unspolit scenery made it the perfect place to really relax. Everything you need for a lovely holiday.... More

Domaine de Palatz is a real little gem in the heart of beautiful unspoilt France. Our rustic gite was tastefully decorated with interesting artwork adorning all the walls. The communal courtyard was a pleasure to relax in on returning from a day exploring the locality - it is painted in muted rust shades which forms the perfect backdrop for the... More

A beautiful location with stunning views. The gite we had was very pretty, a good size with our own parking area and private patio. The pool was most welcome and wonderfully clean. The owner, Iola is as charming as the setting of her Gites. She was friendly, helpful and welcoming. I feel sure Domains de Palatz will call us back... More

Spent a weeks holiday in a gite at Domaine de Palatz and did not want to leave. Its position is heaven in the wonderful countryside .Views to die for. Hospitality was so friendly but not obtrusive. Always on hand if you if you wanted information or help. The gite was spotless, furnished and equipped to a very high standard. The... More

Domaine de Palatz's best score goes to its location and overall charm. The setting is beautiful, surrounded by vineyards and long views to the mountains. Our gite, very rustic in style, (Tulip) was comfortably furnished downstairs, with a large living room and own small patio. It sleeps 3, with the single bed on the landing, rather than in its own... Four friends staying with Iola. June 2013. What a wonderful place she has, we had the pleasure of viewing all of her property, each gite is so lovely and very different, her B&B accommodation is excellent, so comfortable and at a very high standard. Iola was the most welcoming host. The area is so pretty, many wild flowers we hadn't... More

To describe how good Domaine de Palatz is!. I had a week here with my wife and 5 year old daughter in July (at the same time as Ian M below!). Just a stunningly beautiful area, and the gite was perfect for our needs. Only 20 minutes drive from the fabulous medieval city of carcassonne, and absolutely surrounded by picture... More
