This is a beautiful, peaceful, and tasteful former vineyard, now a small hotel run by two charming people. Alix (Madame de Sonis) makes lovely breakfasts and is extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the surrounding country and its history. The rooms are lovely, spacious, as are the grounds, and there is a swimming pool. more

Domaine de Maran is a delightful 2 bedroom Bed and Breakfast Inn in Cavanac, an easy 4 km ride to the Cite of Carcassonne. We enjoyed a wonderful 2 day stay there in mid-May 2007.
