Having travelled the world , I do find it difficult to described what makes a hotel/ chamber d home special. You arrive tired , and you need a nest to rest and put your head on a comfy pillow. Well the Domaine de Loisy is all of that . Even if you are the only guest in the house, a... More

What an amazing place in every respect! The Madame of the house is the most kind, tolerant and welcoming host you could hope to encounter. We were late arriving in the evening but that was not a problem, we needed place to store our wine and space in the fridge to store our cheese and sausage and that was not... More

We stayed two nights here as part of a larger trip through France. I cannot say enough about the hospitality. We arrived after check in hours due to a missed train and had to call the owner, Francoise, who very graciously worked out a plan to meet with us. She speaks English fluently, so communication is a breeze. Breakfast every... More

Visited on on our way to south of France, very unusual place is what I think of this place first! Parking is good and situated behind the property! The place is like walking into a very wealthy wine producers home 50years ago to every detail it's all still there!!!! It's weird because from outside you wouldn't give it a blink!... More

We knew we loved this place the second we arrived. The house is incredibly beautiful and atmospheric. There's so much to see and discover. We felt truly privileged to be allowed in such a beautiful home with centuries of history in it. The host is as wonderful: charismatic, helpful, warm. We felt very welcome and at home immediately. We spent... More

We stopped here on our way down to the Alps in December and were delighted. The two bed suite suited our family perfectly and was good value, and the traditional French breakfast was delicious. What makes the stay so memorable was Francoise's beautiful home, steeped in fascinating history. It would be a great based to explore Cote d'Or from, and... More

Domaine de Loisy has been in business for many years. we last stayed there in July 2014 for 2 delightful nights. The property goes back to the early 1800's and brings a feeling of graciousness that is seldom seen today. The domaine is now run by Francoise de Loisy, a most gracious host. There are only several rooms, some are... More

Without a doubt, one of the more interesting B&Bs we've ever stayed in. Francoise was charming, friendly and made our stay even more delightful. The breakfast was wonderful. I can't begin to explain how interesting the house itself is, nor how much we enjoyed Nuits St. George. It may very well be my newest favorite location in Burgundy.

What a pleasure to stay in this wonderful old building. The owner was charming. Rooms are full of character and very comfortable. Breakfasts are way above the usual continental breakfast. Francoise also sells excellent wine. Thanks to reviewers for helping us find this.
