We stopped here on our way down to the Alps in December and were delighted. The two bed suite suited our family perfectly and was good value, and the traditional French breakfast was delicious. What makes the stay so memorable was Francoise's beautiful home, steeped in fascinating history. It would be a great based to explore Cote d'Or from, and... More

Domaine de Loisy has been in business for many years. we last stayed there in July 2014 for 2 delightful nights. The property goes back to the early 1800's and brings a feeling of graciousness that is seldom seen today. The domaine is now run by Francoise de Loisy, a most gracious host. There are only several rooms, some are... More

Without a doubt, one of the more interesting B&Bs we've ever stayed in. Francoise was charming, friendly and made our stay even more delightful. The breakfast was wonderful. I can't begin to explain how interesting the house itself is, nor how much we enjoyed Nuits St. George. It may very well be my newest favorite location in Burgundy.

What a pleasure to stay in this wonderful old building. The owner was charming. Rooms are full of character and very comfortable. Breakfasts are way above the usual continental breakfast. Francoise also sells excellent wine. Thanks to reviewers for helping us find this.

The house has been in the family since the early 1800s when it was originally built. Fascinating stories about the expansion and renovation under Napoleon III. There is a feeling of formality surrounding this B&B that you don't find in other sites. That's not to say that our hostess wasn't charming or helpful, but the history and decor are very... More

What a wonderful place to stay! Francoise welcomed us into her home & was the most charming host for the whole time we were there. Extravagant rooms, enormous bathroom, exquisite antiques & a resident 100 year old tortoise who loves being fed cherries & bananas. Francoise booked us into a local restaurant, sorted out train times to Dijon & served... More

This remarquable house is full of history and remains of the past of France and the Loisy's family. Lots of old and beautiful books are sleeping on the shelves while a piano waits to be played. The countess will always answer to your questions with kindness and spirit, especially when you want to talk about french history and literature. In... More

What a wonderful experience ! From the moment we arrived we were made so welcome we felt as if we had always known the house. The whole house is full of antiques and whilst one review from the 'new world' was a little downbeat about the atmosphere of the house for us it was just fantastic. So many fascinating objects... This was probably our favorite place among the many we stayed at on our self-created tour of France. The house was full of history and the innkeeper Francoise was warm and wonderful. Our room overlooked the courtyard and had a dressing room as well as a very nice bath ensuite. We got wonderful advice on where we might visit, and... More

This is not an easy place to describe, it is sort of between a B&B and a small hotel. Only 1 room has ensuite bathroom (we stayed in that one) and the rooms are nicely appointed and spacious. But the place is rather old and overall needs a bit of money spent on it otherwise it will go downhill in... More

I always ask my guests about their requested time for breakfast. Regularly no one needs beakfast before 8.30am (each room has a kettle with tea and coffee) but so often my guests let me know they must leave early to catch a train or the shuttle back to England or they want to be ahead of the heavy traffic going...
