We stayed at this hotel as a stopover on our cycle trip along the Danube. It was definitely the best overnight stay of the trip. We loved the location, the food, the ambiance, and our room. We were in an annexe and what a wonderful old building this was. The welcome, and the service throughout our short stay was excellent.... More

We were traveling from Salzburg to Vienna, and decided we would like to spend a night in the Wachau. We stopped in Weissenkirchen, realizing it was a Saturday, beautiful weather in late October, AND the wine-harvest, so we didn't hold much hope of a room. We wound our way through the narrow streets to the Kirchenwirt. After some initial confusion... More

This hotel restaurant we like very much. We have been there few years ago as a hotel guest and satisfied. Today we want to get lunch, but I don't understand german well so I would like to translate some words from menu online. Than i asked waiter for wifi password and he asked if I am hotel guest. No this... More

We opted for a night here without prior booking and at a busy time of the year. There were only two rooms left and neither were terribly appealing. The top floor rooms were attic type with eaves and only a small window. Butthey are spacious and the bathrooms more than adequate. The restaurant on a charming terrace overlooks the Danube... More

We were delighted by the quaint but centrally located hotel. Room was well appointed, and the staff was efficient and welcoming. The owners too were very helpful. We had a room on the third floor... No worries, because someone will carry your luggage up for you. Our room faced the Danube, and there was little courtyard to enjoy after a... More

Having booked well in advance, we were given a room in the "dependence" a couple of walking minutes away; maybe one does not get a room in the main building for just one night. Our room was small but nice in a well restored antique building - just what you are looking for in the Wachau albeit not 100% clean.... More

Wonderful find, what a surprise to have such a friendly, well appointed small hotel in a delightful old village. The staff and town people were very friendly, most spoke English very well but all were willing to try. Dinner and breakfast were wonderful. The rooms were well appointed, clean and very comfortable. Our only regret is we didn't come here... More

Wonderful Hearty Meal & the service was the best we've seen in a week of traveling in Europe! the outside patio was a lovely place for dinner & they have plenty of parking if you need it which is hard to come by.

We enjoyed both the restaurant (seating both inside and out in a nice covered area) and a room here. The wine choices from local vineyards was wonderful, the apricot knodle terrific, and the breakfast choices diverse. One night when we dined elsewhere but returned to the hotel for the apricot knodle, I asked for a glass of Gruner Vertliner but... More

A beautiful, family-run hotel with a very welcoming atmosphere, great breakfast buffet, helpful staff and old wonderful buildings. The beautiful environment of Weissenkirchen with its vinyards and flowers along the Danube river make up for a perfect romantic weekend. Try the restaurant of the hotel and their apricot delicacies! Best to visit in spring or early autumn.
