We have visited the Wachau Valley several times and knew exactly the type of accommodations we wanted and found in the Garni Donauhof. This small and intimate hotel is located right on the Danube in a fairy-tale town. We were graciously welcomed by the owner. It was a bonus that the hostess spoke excellent English! We were given a choice... More

A delightful family owned hotel with a great location, friendly and welcoming staff, clean, fresh and sunlight filled rooms, a royal breakfast experience and the cutest little dog that stole my children's hearts. Initially, this trip to the Wachau region was supposed to be our two day romantic and wine tasting getaway without children so we booked the room for... More

we stayed here for two nights during a week in the Wachau Valley and were most impressed with this small, personal family run hotel. The welcome was really warm and friendly. Our room was clean bright and cheerful whilst breakfast was quite first class This is a small pleasant town (Weissenenkirchen) and worth visiting. This hotel would be an excellent... More

We stayed in this lovely family hotel in the hearth of Wachau one night. The hotel is very cosy, clean and peacefull with very friendly and helpful staff. It is located just few meters from Danube river and some rooms have nice view in the garden and vineyards. The breakfast was very good too with lot of fresh and tasty... More

Our host Marli left a warm impression deeply. Had a warm welcome with her homemade gummy bears. She recommended us dinner options where we had a great time at Heinzle. Room was clean, bright and airy, simple yet functional. Shower was powerful. Marli and her team put on an amazing breakfast spread with homemade cakes, omelets, cereals, fruits and more.... More

Stayed here as part of an organised cycle tour of the Danube. This is a small , family owned hotel and we really enjoyed our one night stay. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and well appointed. They were not doing evening meals when we visited but the breakfast was excellent. The owner was able... More

This is a small and very friendly hotel in a delightful place. The rooms were attractively decorated and comfortably furnished and the bathroom modern and immaculate. The bed was rather too hard for my taste. The owners were very friendly and helpful and took a personal interest in their guests. The breakfast was wonderful and so attractively and imaginatively displayed.... More

We spent two nights at this small hotel. Our greeting was kind and courteous and our rooms were very pleasant and immaculate. The proprietors were very informative and took time to speak to all the guests during their stay. The breakfast was so well laid out and looked so attractive that my friend rushed to find her camera to take... More

I stayed with my group here for a couple days and all of us could not have been happier. The proprietress, Frau Mandl, makes sure that guests have their wishes met and is a font of information on the area, from restaurants and wineries to historical sites. Rooms are generous and comfortable, spotlessly clean and inviting. The breakfast rivals the... More

Located in a quiet village along the Danube, this hotel met all our expectations for a peaceful and uneventful stop. The owner was friendly and helpful without being invasive. The room was clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. This is a very recent construction, but still, it has an old charm and style. The breakfast consisted of a very generous buffet.... More
