Avoid the restaurant! Arrived fine in the evening, ate only in the hotel restaurant and by the following morning was violenty ill with food poisoning. Hotel staff were extremely unhelpful, refusing to accept any responsibility. Overall the resort is also very tired and old. Will never go back. Cannot believe this is a Novotel resort

Did stay for 2 nights coming from Bangkok before heading to Koh Tao with the Lomprayah. The hotel is very quiet, peaceful with friendly staff and huge rooms. It is not super modern but to stay for few days in calm and piece we can absolutely recommend the hotel. Especially in regards to price/value. Lomprayah is just 10 kilometers away... More

Stayed here with another couple en route to Koh Tao via Ferry. In brief this is not a 4 star hotel and certainly not worthy of any rating above 2 star. Novotel what are you thinking? I understand that this hotel is probably used mainly for tourist enroute to connect with ferries to islands, however this is not an excuse... More

Perfect accommodation for one night. Hotel was very quiet and I do understand what the other reviewers mean. This must have been a beautiful hotel once, but it is still a good accommodation. Rooms are very large and clean, pools were nice as well and food in restaurant is great.

It's the 3rd time we go the the Novotel Chumphon, and still happy with it Don't over consider the other reviews. Yes, the hotel is a bit worn out, but not to the point it needs renovations right away. Yes, it's not very busy, but there's enough staff to take care of you. And no, it is not expensive (between... My family and I stayed at this hotel for a 1 night on the way to Koh Tao. We were absolutely astounded by the lack of maintenance within this hotel. Being a Novotel and apart of the "Accor" brand means nothing! The walls in the hotel are desperate for a fresh coat of paint. Within both our two rooms the... More

We stayed in several places in the region and we say this is the best hotel you can find in Chumpon if you are with your kids and wish to stay in a quiet and wonderful place. On top of the ideal location close to wonderful landscape the hotel has two gorgious pools where the kids enjoyed to swim and... More

Take an outdated 80s hotel, add some bugs (a lot of bugs, inside the room), and unfriendly staff and you have this place. Not good, not good at all. I will say that we only stayed one night, so can't comment on what it's like to spend the day here. Did I mention the bugs?

Stopped by Chumphon on our way to Hua Hin. The hotel is about 20 minutes away from Chumphon town. There's a thai 'restaurant' opposite the restaurant, but should stay away from it at all costs. Staff do not speak much English, and breakfast selection was rather poor. Would not stay again.
