This place is great! Basic, cheap rooms with shared facilities in a courtyard setting. Great bar with very friendly and helpful staff. The owner, Ivor, is the font of all knowledge for all things to do with Koh Tao, the islands and just about everything else. Thanks! The minibus to Ranong (for your visa run) starts from just outside and... More

We paid 250 Baht which is great for one night were you need only the basic. A bed and a shower! But unfortunately the place looked very run down to us. The shared bathrooms were horrible and the rooms quite dirty. A pity really, cos it could be really nice and maybe was once.

The room is really clean that's an important point when travelling. Unfortunately it seems to bother the hostess each time you ask something. Matress are really hard and no body in the morning was there to check you out so you can not leave your bag for the day and that's quite a problem. It's ok for tight budget but... More

We had 5 hours to kill till our sleeper train to Malaysia, and a friend told us to come here. Awesome food, cute girls, and Ivor the owner is rad. We'll definitely be sending friends your way when passing through Chumphon. Thanks!

This was a dreadful place and we were not made to feel welcome at all, in fact it seemed the management would prefer not be bothered with guests really, just take the money from them and the people using the bar, but even then he went and drank and ate elsewhere. When a German backpacker turned up late looking for... More

Place itself offers very basic accommodation. Great for backpackers who usually need just basic thing for low price. Toilets and showers are shared and some improvement there would be advised to the owner. Place is positioned around 10 minutes walk from the train station but asking locals will bring you there without a problem. Place is just opposite the Chumphon... More

Can't remember the name of that one cause it ain't worth remembering!! We saw at least 5 tables who the leave in anger... So we checked trip advisor... More

I would deffinately recommend this place. The owner looked after me and helped me with the rest of my travels. I was on my own backpacking just staying for a night before going over to Koh Tao. He made sure i had a lift to the ferry and in general was so friendly. The rooms were ideal and clean and... More

Farang Bar has very very basic rooms. For a twin room we paid 250 Baht. Yes, sounds cheap but what do you get: Two beds without a real mattress. Very thin and hard to sleep on this matt. Only a small fan in a really sticky room. That`s it. You can have a better value in Suya Guesthouse for nearly... More
