Amidst the surroundings of oldish buildings and aged hotels in the city of Chumphon, A-Te stands out brightly with its avant garde design and decor. With spanking new facilities and a most inviting pool to cool down during a hot humid day, my team of 7 cyclists instantly fell in love with A-Te. The rooms are spacious, modern and tastefully... Pleasantly surprised to find this new and stylish hotel in an old town. Service is excellent and staff are always ready to listen to our request. Rooms are clean and spacious. We went to Ko Tao for 2 days after that, and had to return to Chumphon to catch the overnight train to Hatyai. The hotel staff remembered us and... More

Nice hotel, located in the heart of the city - you can walk to the night bazaar/night market. Good breafast buffet if you like Thai local food. Friendly staff with limited english. You also can buy a day trip tour at the hotel.

Great location in centre of town, walk to day markets, night markets, and must do...the bbq buffet restaurant just round the corner. Not a tourist destination but worth spending a night or two here to experience the real Thailand. Staff very helpful, rooms comfy and very nice pool.

NIce hotel limited English but managed to book in. Room was very nice and clean. I was told that Chumphon is only a stop over point. Not much in the way of eating places catering for English speaking tourists. Also by half past eight the place was just about shut down for the night except one street which was jammed... More

On the way back from the south we stopped at A-Te Hotel for 1 night. If you get stuck in Chumphon it's definitely the right place to take a break. Staff is friendly, rooms are clean and next to the hotel they operate a coffee shop and restaurant. The building stands out from it's surrounding next to a local market... More

We only stopped over here on a road trip to the south, hotel staff were friendly (and open at 1am for checkin!) and the place is very clean. The bed was massive and bathroom ideal. The only thing preventing 5 stars is the breakfast; it wasn't amazing but equally not terrible!! Will probably use again

We enjoyed our one night stay at this trendy hotel. Room was good nice bathroom, small balcony overlooking the pool. Kettle, tea coffee, toiletries supplied. Breakfast was fine. Great size car park with a café and the restaurant at the front of the car park was fine for lunch. There is a fresh food market to your right and further... More

Staff were excellent on our arrival, helpful, friendly and of course smiling. Rooms were good, comfortable bed, great shower.....but please change those pillows - concrete painted white!! We only stopped off enroute to the islands from Bangkok, if I came this way again I would certainly use the A-Te. I wouldn't stop in Chumphon for anything else though. Pool looked... More
