I was in Chumphon for only 9 hours as part of an overnight stopover on my way from Bangkok to Koh Tao. Tanisa Resorts was everything I could have asked for -- clean, spacious, quiet with a friendly staff who even packaged up my included breakfast togo since I had to catch a morning shuttle at 5:30 am.

We stayed at Tanisa while traveling to Koh Tao and on the return to Bangkok. While booking, Mr. Sood was very helpful and helped us put all arrangements for this leg of our journey in place - from booking the room to transfers from the airport, and the ferry to Koh Tao. The room at Tanisa was spacious, clean and... More

Arrived at 11pm and left at half 5 so we didn't get to experience it in full. The receptionist gave us a warm welcome and showed us our room. She also booked us a minivan to get our bus and boat for the next morning. The room was lovely and very spacious, directly opposite the pool. Just a pity we... More

After spending a few days on Koh Phi Phi, we picked up a car in Phuket to drive north to Hua Hin where we would then catch the train into Bangkok. We were looking for a place to stay the night, as the drive from Phuket to Hua Hin is about 9 hours. Chumpon was right on the middle of... More

We travelled down from Bangkok and stayed here before getting a ferry to Ko Tao the following day. The location was fine, although a bike ride away from the main town (although you can eat at the resort, we just wanted to get out and explore as had got there quite early). The rooms have good facilities and are clean... More

I stayed here for two nights in between spending a week in Koh Samui, on my way to visiting friends in Hua Hin for one week. There's something about this place I really liked, and I would like to stay here again. The people at Tanisa were friendly and helpful, not much English was spoken, but that's OK. All I... More

We stayed here for 1 night after our train journey from Bangkok. The room was spacious, clean and quiet. The resort was quite a way from Chumphon centre and we had to get a lift in at night by the hotel owner for a quid. Taxis are almost none existance after a certain time in Chumphon, luckily we were able... More

We stayed here on our overnight stop until the next ferry across to Koh Tao and we would recommend this place. The staff are great although very little English is spoken (which is not a problem to us as travellers as why should everyone speak English) it was good fun between us all getting the gist of what we were... We stayed for one night on our way to bangkok to break up the trip. Its a short distance from the main centre or train station. We borrowed the free bicycles and peddled into the night markets, it took us 10 minutes and it was a hoot. We ate our way through the markets, brought our bus tickets to bangkok... More

We stayed here for only night before going across to the West side. Tanisa Resort is a lovely hotel with great, spotless rooms, really friendly staff and excellent value for money. We loved the bathroom! It is a bit out of town, but therefore really quiet and perfect for a good night's sleep. The owner and family were so nice,... More
