Ambiente is a beautiful, clean, super chilled out small hotel. The views from the room terraces and restaurant are spectacular, mountains and waterfalls! You can take a great walk along the railway to the waterfalls and the resident dogs will be your guides!! The pefect place to rest for a few days while seeing wonderful Sri Lanka. more

A nice place. Environment is also very nice. Actually this is a small place. When you are going to up country this place is very good for stay one day or two days. Rooms are ok. It is very suitable for staying with a family. Food is not bad. more

This was the third time for me to stay at Anbiente. That day, the hotel was full and I was given a room with cheeper rate. Soon, I found that I can not rock the front door from outside. The helper of the hotel tried long time to fix it. I was finaly told to leave the room and move... more

I love this place... probably my favourite stay whilst in Sri Lanka!! The location offers awesome views of Ella Gap, little Adams Peak and Ella Rock. 'Ambiente' is a great little hotel on a hill about 10 mins walk from Ella. The rooms are relatively basic (by western standards) but the staff are friendly and the local Sri Lankan food prepared by the hotel is very good. A charming, basic little get away with great views from the balcony. Very clean and personable service from the staff but what caught our fancy, are the 2 dogs, Tina and Tim. Very friendly and love their walkies!! The only downside is the lack of sound-proofing between rooms so please be considerate. You really can hear everything!! : ) more
