After a 2 hour drive from Kandy to Ella on very windy narrow roads, we arrived at our resort 98 acres. It was magical. Our view was so impressive and we spent most of our time at the hotel bar overlooking the mountainous scenery, watching the sun set and rise and drinking a lot of Lion lagers (only while the... More

Stunning views, stylish rooms, extremely comfortable beds. This is the perfect place to splurge, relax and enjoy the surroundings. The restaurant, while a little disorganized, serves up deliciously spicy Sri Lankan curries. And both Ella and Little Adam's Peak are an easy walk from the resort. If you can, book yourself in for a couple of nights.

Definitely the best place we've stayed thus far in Sri Lanka. Amazing food. Stunning views. Plenty to do. The Sri Lankan rice and curry is a must. Nice and spicy. The head chef is a tad too much when he comes over during every meal but that's just being picky. Overall an awesome 2 days. You must eat at Fish... More

We spent two days in this beautiful resort which was just under two hour transfer time to the new mattala airport near hambantota. Upon arrival we were given a warm welcome and taken straight to our room. There were twelve rooms in total, we had an upper floor room with balcony with simply stunning views of little Adams peak and... More

What a gorgeous location! Felt like one was transported to an entirely different time and place. Lovely balance between nature and comfort and was a refreshing treat after having backpacked through a few scruffy places. Food and service were great. Wish I could have stayed longer. Would definitely recommend..... Did I mention that the views were amazing!

The view is absolutely breathtaking and will definitely be the highlight of your stay here. There is a great spa on site and the setting is lovely, with a lovely pool and restaurant and beautifully manicured gardens set among the tea plantations. The walk to "little Adam's Peak" on the other side of the valley is well worth it and... More

The location of this hotel is amazing. Given that the hotel is so close to nature, it is expected that a few bugs may be found. The hotel is environmentally aware so it is not free of insects, but that is part of the experience. The pool was great and the food varied and well cooked. I must say that... More

Our review is as a casual visitor, not a guest of the hotel. We came across the 98 Acres whilst taking a pleasant walk to Little Adam's Peak. The hotel consists of chalets perched right on the cliff edge. Looks precarious. If you don't like heights, this may be an issue for you, as the windows and balcony open right... More
