Room: accommodating and big.. very nice and clean bathroom. Location: The Heart of the City and it's 2minutes walk to the boulevard. General: The place is cool close to Restaurants, Churches, Malls, Baywalk, To Go Foods, Karaoke bar, accessible to public transportations, friendly staff. Highly recommended!!!

I had originally booked at the Essencia but found too much street noise. Hotel Nicanor does not have the lobby and restaurant of the Essencia but is in a relatively quiet street halfway between the main street in town and the seafront. I had two separate stays - one in the Executive Room and one in the Nicanor Suite (it... More

Location wise: right in the middle of downtown, very accessible. Only a short walk to the boulevard, and many restaurants. It's also only a short walk to fast food chains and the supermarket. Stayed in a single room. The room was small, dark, had no windows. The bathroom was so oddly shaped i couldn't really fit into the shower room... More

There was this one time that our favorite hotel in Dumaguete was fully-booked and we need to check-in early, so we opted, though skeptical at first, to check in to this hotel since it is on an ideal location with a promising pictures on the website. When we entered, the lobby was small and so is the elevator. It looked... More

Centrally located. Street construction makes it hard to get transportation into and out of the street this hotel is located on. Most hard wire internet jacks in the hotel don't work. Wifi is not consistent through the hotel. Air-conditioners are not consistent and many are the new inverter type that don't cool the room for at least 12 hours.

The airport pickup was free and on time. The staff that we met were very friendly and accommodating. there were many place to go from just the front doors. A short walk in any direction and you will find many interesting place, mall fast food, good restaurants, and walk by the sea wall. we had a very good time.

Rooms are very big. Dont get fooled by the small lobby. We stayed in a family room where a queen size and a twin size bed isplaced. They say its good for 4 but you can fit more. The room has make up counters, footrest at the edge of the bed, your own table and most of all a huge... More

It is very centrally located - walking distance to the city's iconic Rizal Boulevard, the renowned Silliman University, the main streets and avenues, restaurants, souvenir shops, the public market, the imposing St. Cathedral Cathedral, City Hall, and everything else! The front-desk staff (take a bow: Kris, Jenna and Stella) and the housekeeping people are the best. Requests are immediately delivered.... More

It would have been great if the management had spent the money inside the room rather than in the corridors and door entrances. Nice fancy new door surrounds but inside the rooms are featureless. My room looked nothing the inviting photo on Agoda. Huge bed but with some kind of foot surround that meant it was impossible to actually walk... More

The Hotel Nicanor is located just a couple of blocks from the waterfront, in the heart of the city. We found our hotel room clean and comfortable, with a kind and attentive staff and adequate amenities. We stayed for a couple of nights on the fourth floor, and then after a trip to Siquijor, one more night on the fifth... More
