Fly into Dumaguete airport, get met by a lovely taxi driver who journeys you along the main road, through the crazy traffic, turning off the main road with 11km to go the road is off track in parts but mostly it's pretty smooth. Arrive at Kookoos Nest to then descend the 107.5 big steps.. Landing safely in the restaurant reception... More

Rural, natural.....back to nature. Rough track followed by 107 steps (for giants ;) down to the beach and the traditionally built bamboo cottages. If you are used to proper windows & doors, air conditioning and a pool you may find this to be a little different ! The fresh cold water showers and the open air accommodation can take a... More

Once you turn off the main road it is 11k to the headland above the beach; the last 10 are rough track. You then have (according to the sign) 107.5 steps to go.- hence it is remote. The journey is through farm and scrub areas - hence it is rural. The accommodation is bamboo, as is the furniture and about... More

Beautiful oasis of bamboo-cottages directly beachfront with more than enough space. Due to sickness,we only stayed short, but would have loved to stay longer. Whole resort is very well maintained and you have only nature around you. Cottages are clean. In the morning, you wake up with the birds and waves and the cry of a gecko. Food was 100%... More

Five of us stayed over Christmas in the Toko and Hibiscus cottages. These are beautifully appointed with superb views over the beach and out to sea. This is like being on a sandy desert island with clear blue bathing water but with all services on hand including excellent food and drink- speciality being pre dinner Margaritas! Jamie and Nikki are enthusiastic... More

Just a perfect spot to get away from it all. The food is superb, the diving and snorkelling are fantastic and it really a great spot. It is run by a delightful English couple who look after you and the place is bliss. The only small change I think needs to be made are better sun loungers or at least... More

Kookoo's nest is a very private resort in Antulang Peninsula. From the highway, we rode a habal habal (a motorcycle) because the place is more than a 10km ride. The place was well worth the bumpy ride. Kookoo's Nest was very beautiful! The owners and staff were accomodating. The food were delicious. The golden retrievers were fun to play with... More

This little piece of tranquility is everything you need and want. Nikki and Jamie run this place perfectly. I stayed in Toko - the bamboo hut right on the end of the beach perched up on a rock. The accommodation is simple but comfortable and clean. All the huts have their own hammocks for afternoon naps int he shade, and... More

Such a relaxing place to be in. The drive was a bit long and bumpy but when you get to the place, it's definitely worth it. Would love to stay for the weekend. Will definitely recommend this place to others.
