Kookoo's nest is a very private resort in Antulang Peninsula. From the highway, we rode a habal habal (a motorcycle) because the place is more than a 10km ride. The place was well worth the bumpy ride. Kookoo's Nest was very beautiful! The owners and staff were accomodating. The food were delicious. The golden retrievers were fun to play with... More

This little piece of tranquility is everything you need and want. Nikki and Jamie run this place perfectly. I stayed in Toko - the bamboo hut right on the end of the beach perched up on a rock. The accommodation is simple but comfortable and clean. All the huts have their own hammocks for afternoon naps int he shade, and... More

The beach is just wonderfull, with an amazing snorkeling spot. They have native style accomodation, and the best restaurant in Dumaguete area. They have all kind of food, from local kinilaw to burger or chicken ceasar salad... And all are very good. They even smoke their fish and ham... For me the very best place around dumaguete to stay, and... More

Such a relaxing place to be in. The drive was a bit long and bumpy but when you get to the place, it's definitely worth it. Would love to stay for the weekend. Will definitely recommend this place to others.

We spent a week in Kookoo's nest and could have stayed a month longer. It was super, everything one could expect. The bamboo huts are great, the fresh water from the shower an absolute delight. The owners, Nikkie and Jamie, run a great place in a relaxed and charming manner, great hosts. It is a place that makes you think,... More

I stayed there with my 2 year old and her dad. It was safe, great accessibility to deeper water, great food with many options. The room was perfect and our hosts were accommodating. I would stay there for months if they allowed it!

The last 15 k's are rough dirt road. However, I had heard good reviews so arrived with high hopes. Perhaps it was the weather... But our stay was not as we expected. First, the restaurant service was very slow (no customers) and the food was indeed very average, despite what we had been led to expect. Menu choices were limited... More

I stayed in Kookoo’s Nest 4 nights with my family. The detail is as follows. It took approximately one hour and 30 minutes that I got to KooKoo’s nest from Dumaguete airport. At the first half, the car ran on the paved road, at the latter half, the car ran on the dirty road. The transportation rate was 1150peso, but... More

My Family stayed at Kookoo’s Nest for 7 nights during my son’s school spring break. We were told about Kookoo’s Nest by a friend who stayed there several years ago. Jamie is a Dive Master and prior to our arrival had arranged for our Open Water Certification training. He takes the training very serious and it took 4 whole days... More

This is an absolutely perfect example of what it is. If you're looking for inexpensive huts made of native materials situated on a nice stretch of private beach with warm days, quiet starry nights, decent snorkeling, a good dive operation, and 5-star food, this would be it. Add a remarkably good and varied library featuring real literature instead of the... More
