I stayed in a standard room on the fourth floor. It had minimum furnishings, but it was clean, comfortable, and it met my expectations. The reception and staff were friendly and helpful. My primary complaints are about the room details and the hotel's location. One side of the hotel faces Real Street, the main road running through the city, so... More

Ideally situed in the heart of the city, Palwa Hotel provide large and clean rooms for reasonnable price around 1000 pesos. A little bit noisy on the morning due to the incredible traffic of the city. Good Wifi connection, hot showers, aircon, confortable beds, you don't need more. You can also rent motorbike at the desk. The staff is helpfull... More

One night in a nearby town we had an all-night blackout, and after riding around town to find a decent hotel, I decided to try Palwa. Where do I start? As usual in the Philippines, the front desk staff were friendly and accommodating. But it soon was downhill from there... The room was passable but not worthy of note. And... More

I liked staying in Hotel Palwa. My BF and I stayed here for almost a week. We liked the bed (it's firm), the location (walking distance to the boulevard), the rate (reasonable at P1000 for two people), the hot shower, and the Wifi connection (it only went out once while I was working). They also picked us up for free... More

We stayed here for 4 nights in january 2015. Good things: Really polite and helpfull staff who are smiling all the time. They speak good english. To our opinion location was also nice. Rooms were clean and everything was working. Bad things: Restaurant of Palwa Hotel is expensive.

This is one of those classy places where they make you pay for everything. Extra sheet/blanket because the one we provide is as thin as tracing paper and our aircon is set to freezing - that'll be 50 pesos? Extra pillow to help you stop your 2 year old falling out of the bed? 50 pesos. If you've stayed in... More

Dated rooms with ugly colors in mint green. Small bathroom and non exsisting view in the middle of Dumaguete noicy sentrum. Noicy aircondition. Small cafe like restaurant with limited breakfast menu served on plate. Ekstra pay for coffe! Proberly ok for people coming from the provinces but for experienced trawelers, choose another hotell!

This Hotel is located in the town centre. My room was clean, quiet big and with mountain view. There is no safe in the room but you can use a safety box behind the front desk. There is also a flat screen TV which provides plenty of english channels. The AC was a little bit loud. There is an ensuite... More

Located in the center of town, rooms are descent size, clean, nice selection of TV channels, and wifi in your room. There is no drinking or smoking allowed in your room, and 15 house rules are posted in the room. Reception was not rude but never really made you feel welcomed. Never once did I ever see them smile. Housekeeping... More

Got stuck in Dumaguete due to a tropical storm and decided to stay in center of town closer to ferry terminal, ended up at Hotel Palwa for 999 per night, double occupancy. Location puts you right in the middle of the city, depending on what you are looking for can be good or bad...but nice to be able to walk... More
