Welcome to Paje by Night, a place with its own personality and unique atmosphere, a starting point for all your adventures on the island and a spot where to chill-out and regain your time. We have in total 19 bungalows, set in pairs, all overlooking the garden. They are simple, pleasant and comfortable and all fitted with air-conditioning The bungalows, the yoga studio, the swimming pool, the main restaurant and bar are located in a large verdant plot dotted with with mature Ficus, Flamboyant and Coconut Palm trees less than 100 m. from the sensational beach of Paje. It is the perfect place to regenerate away from the beach folk and its nicely protect from the monsoon winds. You can reach the beach in a minute walk along a narrow sandy path. From here, another minute walk to the right and you will reach our beach bar and kite centre – Paje by Kite. Here you can kitesurf, store your kite gear and enjoy the sea-view while sipping your drink. We hope you will enjoy and have an amazing time with us !
Grounds are very well kept, hotel is as advertised in pictures. It is not on the waterfront but about 2 minutes walk away. Breakfast was included and was good. Area is safe and rooms are pretty. The beach is great. Many restaurants and many kite surfing schools around.

This hotel is a few steps from the Paje beach and has a hidden, rustic feel. A quaint pool, scattered hammocks in a lush green garden frequented by the endemic colobus monkeys adds to the charm. We were in the jungle room 1 - quaint 2 storied room. The beds in the rooms were left with ornate designs : We wanted to see what surprise awaited us each day. The complementary breakfast felt pure and sumptuous. Don't expect everything to be spick and span in the rooms, it's enough but not a 5 star feel. The mesh around the fan was broken at places etc. But this place does not strive for a 5 star feel I feel a bit intentionally. It exudes an earthen, heart warming appeal. We loved it.

I almost cried when it came time to depart. This LOVELY collection of bungalows is a 5 minute walk to the beach, and is incredibly well maintained while having a rustic, natural feel. Beautiful plants, trees, lighting adorn the property. The yoga teacher is wonderful, as is the food! I had all but one meal at PBN. The rooms were cleaned every morning and fogged for insects every night. I encountered 0 mosquitos in my room. Also hammocks everywhere! Comfortable pillows on beds, and clean bathroom. If I make it back to Zanzibar, I’d stay there again absolutely. I wouldn’t even look anywhere else. Oh, warm staff as well. 10/10 experience. If I could change anything, it would be the option to have a fridge in the room (I’d pay a bit more for this amenity if it were offered). Thank you PBN! …

I stayed in Paje by night for two weeks with my boyfriend. The rooms are very basic but super clean, the food is Italian, so most of the dishes (we tried a lot of them) are good. Breakfast is slightly limited as you have to choose and if you want something different, then their selections is very likely that something will come wrong. Service by the bar and restaurant is VERY slow! we got used to it, but you have to wait an average of one hour for any food, and sometimes they forget, and if you don't chase you will be there forever waiting! rs I guess is the "Hakuna Matata" lifestyle that visitors need to adapt! If you want to experience a place full of monkeys, you will love this place, they come around 4-5 pm to eat around the trees, and you can get very close and watch! We loved it.…

We stayed 3 nights at Paje by Night Hotel. The ocean is just some 50 meters away from the hotel through a small corridor with sand ground. The hotel is made up of a nice garden and small paths inbetween, which gives you the impression of a small village. Very beautiful surroundings. Our room was nothing special, but we didn't spend much time there anyway, so this was fine. It was clean, had AC, mosquito net, and a bottle of water which was refilled every day. The bathroom was also fine, but the hot water tank was quite small, so for two people you had to take quich showers, if both wanted hot water. It was nice that the hotel both had a bar and a restaurant in the middle of the area. However, the service was quite lazy, the food just OK, and the drinks not that impressive. While the breakfast was fine, if you had anything sweet on your plate, you would have a small swarm of whasps dining with you within minutes. This made the breakfast experience not so relaxed. The hotel seemed to have a lot of kite surfer guests, which makes sense in Paje, and I think this hotel is quite optimal for that kind of stay. But for a couple chilling in Paje, the experience was just mediocre.…

Ver Nice bungalows, beautiful garden, the food is excellent! The breakfast is great and for the rest of the day and evening you can choose Swahili-food or all kind of Italian food and all fresh and homemade! The rooms are cleaned every day and in the evening they spray against the mosquitos but there is allso a klamboe and AC. The service is great and King Louis, Max, Claudia, John and the rest of the team are really outstanding! I was here with my daughter for kitesurfing and relaxing and we really want to go back next year!

The Place is nice, the Service okay but the prices just too high! You will find better and cheaper places there for sure. The Yoga was really nice - so i was satisfied but would not come back. You do not See the sea, but it is very close and they have a Beach Bar where guests can chill. I think its just too expensive for what they offer, they Even charge 2000 ts to refill your water bottle - Why? You can buy a big Plastic bottle for 1000 ts in the Shop 1 min away … to Reduce Plastic they should encourage tourists to refill bottles and not charge More Money for it … The Review would have 5 Stars if it would be 40 - 30 $ cheaper per Night - but for the Price 67 $ per Night (incl. Already 10% off to the regular Price) the Place just does not worth the Money.

Dear Manisha, Thank you for your sharing your experience, we are glad you liked the place, the quality of activities and the service offered as well as the general hotel arrangement. As a tourist on the island, you might not be well aware of the costing of running a hotel. To pick your argument, I do not think you can compare the price of a bottle of water in a supermarket with the price of the same beverage in a hotel. At the supermarket, the customer is not offered a lounge, music, free wifi, a sunbed at the swimming pool where to sip her water. Most relevant here when that plastic bottle is dropped at our premise, that customer is not only limiting our efforts of a plastic-free environment she’s also transferring on the hotel the cost of recycling that plastic. Have you thought about? On the same line, I would add that you will not be able to find in Paje a hotel where you pay 30 or 40 USD a night for a private bungalow with en-suite bathroom, a very good breakfast, a swimming-pool and a detached beach bar with sea-view sunbeds where to chill, a proper yoga studio and a massage Spa with qualified teachers and therapists, a kite centre, restaurant and bar services. All that has a cost that come to build a hotel’s room rate. I hope I have been able to give you an overview that makes sense to you as well. kind regards Claudia

I stayed here as a solo traveler for about 9 days and did kite surfing lessons and had a wonderful time. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable, the restaurant food and drinks are great, the masseuse was superb and the staff in general were really friendly and helpful. I would definitely return!

The houses are very authentic, simple, clean and comfortable. The management, cleaning, restaurant staff are extremely nice and helpful. I stayed during a week and I did also yoga classes. The teacher is very good and the classes are interesting. I would highly recommend the hotel for a calm pace holiday in a warm and good atmosphere. Special note for the breakfast.

I stayed almost 4 weeks in Paje by night and I missed almost no class. I wish I can give more than 5 stars for the rating - so here is the extra star *. Best teacher I ever had, she gave me really a lot. I had a very very special time there. After more than a week back home, I still really think every day about the time I have been there. I know I will meet you somethere ans sometimes. Thank you so much for your energy, time and much more. धन्यवाद
