We had a great time! After Safari in the Serengeti, being spoiled by Sue ( the owner) was most welcoming. From the white beaches to the fresh seafood gourmet dinning it was a real treat! Hospitality plus

Lovely, secluded beach hotel. Nice way to unwind after a Safari. Nice grounds, quiet Beach, nice rooms. Sue was an accommodating fun hostess and Andrew a gourmet chef. The food was excellent. They found out we were celebrating our 50th Anniversary, made us a lovely cake and sang Happy Anniversary. It was a lovely touch. We loved the massage and the sailing... More

Just returned from six days at Echo Beach Hotel. It was everything and more that we were looking for after a week on safari. The owners, Sue and Andrew are wonderful people. Andrew is a fabulous chef and host. We went into Stone Town with him one day, as he did his errands we visited a few places he suggested.... More

We ate twice at Echo Beach restaurant and those evenings will remain as great memories. There is no TV there, which is great 99% of the time, but as on that occasion we wanted to watch an all-important World Cup match the owners generously gave us their own living room. After the defeat we consoled ourselves with the food which... More

The hotel is relaxing, and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food, however, is what distinguishes this hotel among its class. The food and drink are really good - so save room. Aside from the staff and the food/drink - the hotel is not luxurious, but is comfortable and adequate. I give this an overall very good instead... More

Stayed here for a week, a fabulous beachfront hotel. Clean, comfortable rooms. Excellent service with friendly staff. Easy to arrange excursions on the island. Great cocktails. I cannot stress how good the seafood was here. A great experience.

We stayed at Echo Beach in march, end of season and besides us there was only one couple, so we had the feeling of being almost alone in paradise! We were welcomed with a lot of heartiness by Sue and Andrew, the owners. This heartiness even increased the next seven days, while having nice talks at the bar, the beach... More

We were recommended to stay at Echo Beach by Nick from Safari and Beach after he had chatted to us re our requirements and past experiences in East Africa. Suffice to say it was just great: understated and lacking in glitz but that is part of the charm. It actually reminded me of the relaxed atmosphere at the Driftwood Club... More

A friend recommended Echo Beach to us and we had an amazing stay. The bungalows are gorgeous, fully equipped (though lacking a fridge) with plenty of hot water. The service was top notch, from leaving the room in the morning to get breakfast (when we returned our room was cleaned, bed made) to 5 star food. Ask for the seared... More
