Basic but very comfortable rooms with en suite bathrooms. The restaurant has very good and inexpensive food with very friendly staff. You can get massages and buy beach towels and necessities in a small localy owned store on the beach. Sunbeds are available. The Italian managers are very friendly and helpful and will help you with all your needs, including... More

Twisted Palms was exactly what my wife and I were looking for in our holiday. A tranquil, quiet and peaceful resort, with excellent service and friendly personnel - and that is exactly what we found at Twisted Palms. To Laura and Renato and all their staff: Thank you for an amazing experience.

This boutique guest house is a perfect alternative to the other large and expensive resorts in East Zanzibar. The managers Laura and Renato, were very friendly and helpful at all times - helping with changes to our flight schedule and serving breakfast early just for us when we had to leave early one morning. The rooms are basic but functional.... More

This place is great if you want a quiet few days by a great beach and good food. We think Bwejuu is better than Paje as it is not spoilt by hotels and kite surfers. We stayed in one of the bungalows back from beach. I'm not sure it is worth paying the extra for one on the beach though... More

We stayed 4 nights in the Hill Room bungalows up a few stairs in September 2014 for our anniversary. Twisted Palms professionally organised everything for us including airport pick-up and transfer, great food, mostly sea-food from the stilt-restaurant and quiet time on the hill...Renato and Laura are truly great hosts and give you all info you need for your stay,... Stayed 4 nights in mid June right after they opened for the season. Clean basic room with a wonderful hot shower. Quiet beach with lots of shells and safe walking. Make sure and take beach/water shoes if you go into the water. Also, pay the extra price to get a room on the beach! Best chapatti ever!!!

Stayed here for 2 nights in December 2013. Was lovely, a great place to relax. All the staff were really helpful and Laura will assist you with anything. It seems like nothing you ask for is too much trouble. The food in the restaurant was pretty good. Rooms are basic but really clean. You'll spend most of your time on... More

Spent 2 days here recently. It's a great location - quiet beach, lots of vegetation. The rooms are basic but clean enough and nicely put together. The bar/restaurant is nicely relaxed, with friendly staff. Even though we stayed at low season, the menu changed daily - not always something that happens in this part of the world. The managers are... More

Great living at the beach, a restaurant almost in the sea with nice food in the evening and a very nice breakfast in the morning and a great view. Laura and Renato are very helpful and punctual in organising all kind of trips. The space for relaxation around the rooms and restaurant is a bit tight, Not very much privacy.... More
