We arrived at Breezes after being thoroughly spoilt at the Zanzibar Serena Inn. We had done a spice tour en route which was OK but we were exhausted on arrival at Breezes. We waited a short while to have the property explained to us by one of the managers and then we were off to our room. We really were... more

What a place to stay!!! My husband and I loved Breezes. We told our travel agent to book us someplace within our "budget" after our high end safari. We were so pleased when we arrived at Breezes! We were told that they are a 4 STAR hotel but they really could be 5 STAR. The service was wonderful compaired to... more

We loved Breezes. After staying in more moderately priced hotels throughout Tanzania it was luxurious and relaxing. The rooms are spotless and air conditioned (a must in Zanzibar) the decor was lovely and felt very homey, and the staff was extremely personable. Every night they bring in excellent entertainment.....One night we had a beach bonfire, once an acrobat troupe, a... more

We arrived tired after a 5 hour delay on a sun-bleached air strip and a little disappointed that we had not booked another 4 day safari after our perfectly phenominal stay at the Selous Impala Camp. We left havng relaxed, refreshed, rejuvinated and completely appreciative of every last minute we'd spent at Breezes Beach Club! We thought eight days would... more

My boyfriend and I stayed here, after an active trip in mainland Tanzania. We wanted to relax, and recharge our batteries before heading the long journey home, and this was the perfect place to do it. The resort is gated like most hotels in the area, and it can be a little intimidating pulling up in your taxi and waiting... more

This is a hotel where you could be convinced by the marketing and publicity that you were getting something special, but you are not. Although the first impressions are good, lovely public spaces, pretty gardens and so on, the rooms are a let down. They sit in clusters of 4-6 and are all long and narrow so if you sit... more

I guess it's all about expectations. We stayed only 2 nights at Breezes as part of a 4 night 'standard' tour extension to Zanzibar. So as this was marketed as a standard rather than superior package we were pleasantly surprised. Yes, we had two of the rooms at the back of the property away from the beach but that didn't... more

My Expectations before Leaving: I asked for very good/ higher end accommodation. I am rather particular about quality of rooms, bathrooms, surrounding area, ambience and service levels, especially since I am paying a premium price. I am not much of a “foodie” but I can be fussy about taste. Living in Asia, I’m also spoilt by the amazing accommodation, service... more
