We had asked Pakacha to help us organize a transfer from our previous location. They did, but the driver they’d hired took detours, stopped for personal errands along the way, and eventually drove us to the wrong place (!). We had to order and pay for a new taxi to take us to Pakache Bungalows. When we arrived in the... More

We only stayed 8 days at Sansibar, at Pakacha for 3nights, and this was by far the best accomodation we stayed at! The location is quite & relaxed, apart from big resorts but also central. You can walk to Jambiani or to Rock Restaurant but also rent bicycles to drive there along the beach. The stuff is very friendly &... More

A Relaxing place to spend some days far from the crowds. Ali and all the staff are really friendly, the beach is nice and there are many things to do around. Bwejuu is a lovely village just near by Pakacha.

although the beach is not the most beautiful, because its a "working beach", I really loved to stay at pakachas. Ali -the owner- is extremely friendly and he always tried to offer every guest an awesome time at his place. The food there is just awesome- you definitely have to try the octopus! All in all we really enjoyed our... More

Pakacha Beach Bungalows is a great place to stay in Bwejuu on Zanzibar's east coast. It is owned and run by local Ali and his family. In fact, a big plus is the fact that Pakacha is almost entirely family run, with everyone keeping a close eye on the guests rooms and being totally trustworthy. It has a truly beautiful... More

The scenery was amazing and the rooms comfortable. While it was a little further down the beach, the owner would arrange rides and/or tours and scuba activities. Bicycle rentals for riding down the beach were easy to arrange as well. The owner was a consummate host and an excellent cook. The staff were friendly and professional.

Pakacha Bungalows in Bwejuu is the number 1 spot for an authentic Zanzibari meal with the freshest ingredients from the island. It is still one of those 'insider places', a secret spot for those who savor an authentic experience. Located right on the beach, the owner Ali has a prime spot on the south east coast. As part of the... More

We learned about Pakacha through another place in Bwejuu and booked it for a week without much information. The rooms were great, the food was delicious and the staff was excellent. We loved how open the property is to the town so you can really meet many of the local people. Ali, the owner, is extremely gracious. We had a... More

My family recently stayed on Bwejuu beach at a different accomodation. We enjoyed walking down the beach to find different places to eat. Once we found Pakacha Bungalows we returned 2 more times! The cook and owner, Ali, is very friendly and was happy to cook for us even though we weren't staying at his place. His prices were very... More
