A lovely clean bungalow room with lots of space and all with private bathrooms. Cool bar right on the beach with a few sun loungers. Great food included fish that we saw come off the boat the same day. The only thing I would say is food and drink are a little pricey for the backpacker atmosphere.

This place was a real treat. First of all are the superb staff helped, entertained and spoiled us everyday (they even put on a special candle lit beach meal for us on our final night because it was our honeymoon). The food was fantastic - we ate out on the second night but after that ate at Crazy's every nigh... More

Stayed at Saffron Villa right next to Crazy Mzungo's for 8 days with family and it was superb! The staff (Uzzi the manager, Emar the barman, Abeddi our chef) were brilliant and we had a superb time. The food was fresh and yummy from the bar and great to have a couple of drinks with travellers coming through as well... More

From the reviews i had read I was expecting a fun and crazy atmosphere but it was quite the opposite. Everything on trip advisor had mentioned the bar and the crazy barmam. The only liquor the bar had was Gin and the only thing drink was water or sprite. The bar area has things about Jack Daniels everywhere and as... More

I traveled to Zanzibar the day after Christmas and had booked a stay until January 2nd. This was my second time in Africa, (the first in Zanzibar, I was in Uganda earlier that year). Let me preface with saying this - I have never met a group of more hospitable and accomodating people. By the end of the trip, I... More

When we arrived at Crazy Mzungo's the one toilet in our bungalow was broken and there were only two stand-up fans (one of which broke on the first day) and one small roof fan for 8 people (no aircon). The owner apologised for the broken toilet, but said they would get a plumber to fix it and get some more... More

This was the most relaxing and chilled out place I have ever stayed. Four girls travelling together and we never felt more safe. The staff were extremely friendly and VERY helpful, especially Gerard. We had issues with getting our luggage to the island and he tracked it down for us. The highlight of this place however is the food. It... More

i'm going to start with the bad: we stayed in the elvis room, closest to the beach. no privacy at all, very close to the bar/restaurant (also closest to the beach). the room looked as expected; rustic. hole in the mosquito net. i woke up every morning with at least 5-7 new bites. no fan, but thank u anthony for... I just had a realy bad experience, i've never been threated by a barman before.. We residents and decided to take some family over to Crazy Mzungo's. The marketing looks brilliant, so the expectations were high. My guest was leaving, so we were a bit in hurry. The barman told us the chef was not there, so we had to... More
