My husband and I have just returned from a two week holiday here and we enjoyed every minute of it. The resort is ofcourse Italian and the last week we were the only English guests! We didn't mind at all we just let the others get on with their activities and we enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and the marvellous food!... More

Yes it's set up for Italians but it didn't make a great deal of difference. We had no problem with this and it made things quite amusing when we replied inEnglish. Beach is superb and the water was balmy 31deg. Food was good, always plenty of choice.

i am from the USA and brought a few children from the Tanzania orphanage. It was a beautiful resort, however at least 95% of the occupants are Italian and the resort caters to it. English is minimal by the staff, they are African but speak and understand Swahili and Italian. The shows and activities are in Italian and we watched... More

We stayed over Christmas and New Year, travelling as a family. Two adults and one 8yo. We arrived late and were welcomed by a plate of food and a drink, very thoughtful. The room was clean and spacious with everything working normally. The hotel is geared up to Italians and everything is in Italian. The staff do make an effort... More

We stayed over Xmas and new year. The resort is set on a lovely beach and has a beautiful pool. The whole resort is kept clean and tidy and the staff were extremely kind, friendly and full of fun. When they ask your name, they remember it and greet you by name every time they see you. Whilst we don't... More

I went for a quick reconnaissance trip to check out the VOI Kiwengwa Resort. It is perfectly located on a splendid beachfront site on Kiwengwa beach. Stunning water views and a beautiful white stretch of beach are right at the doorstep. The facilities look decent enough. However, it does appear that this resort is heavily geared (almost entirely so) to... More

This was a fantastic and hilarious vacation resort that took me back to my childhood holidays in Butlins. Activities are planned throughout the day, beach games, dancing, singing...it was Christmas so all of these were Santa themed. The skimpy outfits might have been a bit more disturbing...girls in sexy santa helper get ups...but no one seemed too alarmed. This is... More

It was our first-time travel to such destination and can honestly utter that we don't regret no euro spent on this trip. This review is divided into 2 separate parts: island and hotel as each deserves to be mentioned. Hotel: Hotel has exceptional staff - no arguments about that. Service and attitude of its staff were the most memorable moments.... More

We spent a wonderful week at the hotel. All inclusive meals were tasty and rich. Staff exceptionally nice. Our flight arrived late to Zanzibar, so we arrived at the hotel at 2:00AM, we were surprised to find out that the staff had prepared late dinner for us! it was a very pleasant surprise after 12 hours on the road ...... We had a nice time on our honeymoon. we were the only africans, besides another couple from uganda, at the resort and the locals(masai, whom you can totally ignore if you want to) really made us feel welcome having come from the 'chipolopolo' african champions as our football team is known is Zambia. The rooms were comfortable, though I could have... More
