Beautiful view, nicer beaches are further North, but result in a longer drive if you want to visit other locales on the island. Staff are friendly and attentive. We disliked having buffet meals all of the time, there is one sit-down restaurant on the property that provided a wonderful a la carte lunch.

We stayed 3 nights at the Zanzibar Bluebay Beach resort and it was a lot of fun and the perfect ending after our Kilimanjaro and Safari trips. The rooms were elegant, nicely decorated and luxurious. The staff were really friendly, helpful and always in a good mood. The food was very delicious and nicely presented on a buffet or freshly... More

I am used to travel in 5* Hôtels all around the world and this hôtel is one of my favorite. I had a wonderfull time. The hôtel is very well organised, directly on the beach which is beautiful. The rooms are clean and elegant. I chose all inclusive and had lunch and diner like "buffet". The restaurant is delicious, thanks... More

We stayed 5 days at the Zanzibar Bluebay Resort after a 7 day safari trip in Tanzania. For us this was a good combination - wildlife followed by island beach life. Beach: A nice white fine grain coral beach, with a water temperature that we've haven experienced anywhere else. The water felt as it was just a few degrees below... More

Our five nights at Blue Bay were very special, and I suspect a lot of this has to do with the staff. People were incredible - right from our first introductions to the day we left. All queries were dealt with immediately, we had a small medical issue that about five staff were eagerly trying to help us with, we... More

Fully endorse all the most recent positive reviews. What we liked was the laid back feel of this hotel. It's not stuffy at all and the staff are so friendly. We had an amazing relaxing 9 days. The plugs are English ones but the hairdryer is not very powerful so if you a fussy about drying your hair, take your... More

Overall fantastic stay! Breakfast buffet is outstanding and the Dinner exquisite. Very luxurious but no hair conditioner in the rooms! Beautiful tranquil setting - a long way from town though. If you want to just eat, drink & relax - this is the place to go.

after a month of touring Ethiopia,Kenya and mainland Tanzania all we wanted was to relax and that is exactly what you can do here. The rooms were spacious clean and private amongst the gardens. The outdoor areas were many so if you wanted to could get away from the other guests but only about 100 guests(can get up to 500)... More

Bluebay is an attractive makuti-roof hotel fronting the dazzling white sand beach of Kiwengwa. The grounds are attractive and extensive, dotted with palm trees and flower beds. The irregular-shaped pool is large and kept very clean. There is a feeling of space and openness. The accommodation is dotted about the gardens and connected by a labyrinth of pathways. We stayed... Me and my husband looked for a quiet, relaxing place, with great beaches and food, to unwind after a year of hard work. And this is exactly what we got! What can I say - everything is just about right with the Bluebay Beach Hotel, with only a few minor "buts". + The location is beautiful - the oceanfront hotel... More
