Stayed in the villa from the 3rd to 5th of July (so impossible that the review below can be legitimate). Was the perfect place after 4 weeks volunteering in dar! Was very easy to book even though I did it last minute, and the staff were very helpful, Beka is always on hand to help if needed! The villa itself... More

We were staying 5 nights at Panga Chumvi in march. From our room we had a fantastic view on the beautiful beach side of Matemwe. It's a nice and quite place where you can relax easily. While I was there I also had the possibilty to participate in a yoga lesson on the beach side. The food from the restaurant... More

We really enjoyed our 3 nights stay at Panga Chumvi as it is a small resort on an isolated beach close to a village. The rooms are small but comfortable, ours was 10 steps to beach. We spent a lot of time on our verandha, hammock or sunbed reading and watching the passing parade (not busy, no traffic jams) of... More

We stayed at Panga Chumvi three nights, this February 2015. That is, not the high season and even close to the main rains. But we were lucky with the weather, and found Panga Chumvi delightfully quiet... From our double room in a bungalow practically on the beach, no other noise than the sea coming in and going out... The staff... More

What?? Is this place for real? I came to Zanzibar to stay right in front of the ocean. Oh boy, I did get lucky in coming to Panga Chumbvi , didn’t I? This is an affordable hotel, set in a beautiful beach. The beach-front villas are right in front of the ocean. When the tide is high, you walk just... More

We visited Panga Chumvi twice in 2012 and on moving back to Kenya, we couldn't think of a better place to spend Christmas. As before, the rooms are beautiful in their simple, elegant way, and the beach is just as stunning as before. Christmas itself was a low-key affair and we welcomed that. On Christmas eve braided banana leaves were... More

A friend and I recently stayed at Panga Chumvi for three nights. It's located on a gorgeous stretch of beach, is incredibly peaceful and relaxing. We had all our meals in the restaurant and the food was really tasty. Pretty much everything was locally sourced and the menu was small but varied. We found all the staff from those that... More

We have been the second time at Panga Chumvi and felt so happy to be back at this amazing place. The area of this Resort is very spacious which means you really have this kind of privacy you need to relax and recover from stress in any form. You can enjoy the incredible view from your own veranda, listening to... More

The hotel location is outstandingly beautiful, with long white sandy beaches fringed with coconut palms and casuarina trees, overlooking the warm turquoise-coloured clear waters of the Indian Ocean. Snorkelling over corals and brightly coloured fishes is good in front of the hotel, and excellent possibilities are easily available by boat. The management and staff were very friendly and always willing... More
